That means Musk&rsquo;s henchmen are in a position to dig through a trove of data about every taxpayer in America,&rdquo; Wyden wrote.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to sidestep the real reason DOGE is making a visit &mdash; cutting waste, fraud, and abuse &mdash; he tried to identify with his followers on the grounds that this visit could hinder a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tax-season-2024-your-guide-to-deadlines-filing-and-refunds\/\" title=\"Tax season 2024: Key dates, filing tips, and ...s explained\">timely tax refund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And if your refund is delayed, they could very well be the reason,&rdquo; he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Wyden&rsquo;s plea grasps at straws.<\/p>\n<p>The logic boils down to urging Americans to look the other way when it comes to how the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/now-2-percent-federal-government-workforce-taken-trumps-exit-deal-exodus-40000-growing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal government<\/a> uses their money because a tax return won&rsquo;t arrive as quickly if the DOGE continues its work.<\/p>\n<p>DOGE Chairman Elon Musk met in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump on Tuesday to discuss the DOGE&rsquo;s ongoing efforts.<\/p>\n<p>He told the media his department in going to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/doge-investigate-bureaucrats-become-wealthy-positions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">looking into bureaucrats<\/a> whose net worth far exceeds anything their salary could create.<\/p>\n<p>Former United States Agency for International Development Administrator Samantha Power being one of the names Musk has in his sights.<\/p>\n<p>Investigating the IRS is the logical next step for DOGE.
