Submersible Incident\">support ship &#038;ldquo<\/a>;pinged&rdquo; the Titan. After that, it lost track of the submersible.<\/p>\n<p>In that time, experts believe a catastrophic implosion crushed the hull, scattering pieces of the Titan and its passengers across the ocean floor.<\/p>\n<p>During the inquiry, one witness who said he knew <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/friend-oceangate-ceo-testifies-titan-disaster-no-accident-nothing-unexpected\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stockton Rush<\/a>, CEO of OceanGate, the company that operated the Titan, said the accident grew from Rush&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/abortion-is-not-safer-than-childbirth-heres-the-data-the-left-wants-to-hide\/\" title=\"Abortion Is Not Safer Than Childbirth \u2014 Here\u2019s The Data The Left Wants To Hide\">risk-taking behavior<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The definition of an accident is something that happened unexpectedly and by sheer chance,&rdquo; said Karl Stanley, a friend of Rush, according to a video clip posted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=L4sHdLICwKM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There was nothing unexpected about this. This was expected by everybody that had access to a little bit of information.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And I think that, if it wasn&rsquo;t an accident, it then has to be some degree of crime. And if it&rsquo;s a crime, I think to truly understand it, you need to understand the criminal&rsquo;s motive.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And I think the entire reason this whole operation started was Stockton had a desire to leave his mark on history,&rdquo; Stanley said.<\/p>\n<p>Two of Rush&rsquo;s ancestors signed the Declaration of Independence, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/09\/25\/us-news\/oceangate-ceo-stockton-rush-knew-his-doomed-titan-submersible-would-eventually-kill-him-friend-testifies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He knew that eventually it was going to end like this, and he wasn&rsquo;t going to be held accountable.
