In Maryland, the Montgomery County and Prince George&rsquo;s County school systems will be closed. In Virginia, Fairfax County and Loudoun County schools will be closed among others.<\/p>\n<p>Federal government workers are on a two-hour delay for Wednesday. &ldquo;Federal agencies in the DC area will OPEN with a 2-hour delay and have the option of allowing unscheduled leave\/telework,&rdquo; the Office of Personnel Management posted on X. &ldquo;Given critical work being done across the federal government, please consult your agency for final guidance.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The OPM advised government workers of early departures from the office earlier Tuesday. D.C.&rsquo;s government will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>WMATA bus service is moving to a moderate snow plan as of 8 p.m., which will operate just 114 of the agency&rsquo;s 193 routes, with detours planned. The agency noted that passengers may <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">experience longer wait times due<\/a> to road conditions. Several bus routes had already been impacted on Tuesday due to the weather, with at least seven buses stuck at 14th Street NW in D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Metrorail is expected to run normally with potential weather-related delays. <\/p>\n<p>Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) had already declared a statement of emergency on Monday due to the snowstorm. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;With another round of winter weather across the state this week forecasted to bring heavy snow and ice, I am declaring a state of emergency so we can move resources around the state,&rdquo;&nbsp;he said. &ldquo;I urge all Virginians to monitor your local forecast and to prepare for possible impacts to roadways and infrastructure beginning overnight Monday throughout Tuesday.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Travel is considered hazardous across the region.
