But in most cases, they simply tell the opposite of the truth.<\/p>\n<p>In a pre-Super Bowl interview on Sunday with Fox News&rsquo;s Bret Baier, President Donald Trump responded to a premature question about the 2028 presidential election by calling it &ldquo;too early&rdquo; to say whether or not he would endorse Vice President J.D. Trump SLAPS DOWN Media Hack - Sets the Record Straight on Sham Election (VIDEO)\">establishment media<\/a> outlets and anti-Trump commentators to declare &mdash; via crafty omission and outright lies &mdash; that Trump had refused to endorse his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">vice president<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Do you view Vice President JD Vance as your successor?&rdquo; Baier asked in a clip posted to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> X.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;No, but he&rsquo;s very capable,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-issues-new-counsel-israel-hamas-saturday-get-ready-break-loose\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> replied.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Had the president stopped there, then the &ldquo;refused to endorse&rdquo; narrative would have had some legitimacy.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the president did not stop there. He responded, in fact, the only way he possibly could in February 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think you have a lot of very capable people,&rdquo; Trump added. &ldquo;So far I think he&rsquo;s doing a fantastic job. It&rsquo;s too early. We&rsquo;re just starting.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Baier then suggested that by the 2026 midterm elections, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-lays-one-simple-christian-idea-save-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vance<\/a> would seek the president&rsquo;s endorsement.<\/p>\n<p>Tellingly, Trump ignored the interviewer&rsquo;s attempt to bait him on the endorsement question and instead shifted the focus of the conversation to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jd-vance-expect-breakneck-pace-next-four-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">breakneck pace<\/a> at which his administration has operated since Inauguration Day.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bret Baier: Do you view VP JD Vance as your successor, the Republican nominee in 2028?<\/p>\n<p>Trump: No. But he&rsquo;s very capable. The president did not &ldquo;refuse&rdquo; to endorse.
