The incident took place around 2:39 p.m. when a\u2062 small Learjet, arriving from Austin, Texas, attempted to land but veered off the\u2062 runway and collided\u200d with a parked airplane. It is suspected that the private jet&rsquo;s landing gear malfunctioned, leading to the accident.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The small plane belonged to Vince Neil, the lead singer for the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">popular 1980s heavy metal band<\/a> M&ouml;tley Cr&uuml;e. Five people were on the plane, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc15.com\/news\/region-northeast-valley\/scottsdale\/scottsdale-airport-runway-closed-after-plane-crash-injuries-unclear\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>, four of whom were injured. Neil was not one of the passengers on the plane. The singer&rsquo;s representatives issued a statement about the collision, stating that he appreciated the efforts of first responders and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kanye-walks-out-of-tim-pool-interview-when-asked-to-defend-his-antisemitism\/\" title=\"Kanye Walks Out of Tim Pool Interview When Asked to Defend His Antisemitism\">expressed empathy<\/a> for those hurt in the accident.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;At 2:39 p.m. local time, a Learjet aircraft Model 35A owned by Vince Neil was attempting to land at the Scottsdale Airport,&rdquo; read the statement. &ldquo;For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil&rsquo;s plane were two pilots and two passengers.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Mr. Neil was not on the plane,&rdquo; noted the release. &ldquo;More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation, and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil&rsquo;s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The National Transportation Safety Board announced it was investigating the accident late Monday afternoon. The Federal Aviation Association released a statement about the crash earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona around 2:45 p.m. local time Monday, Feb. 10,&rdquo; the FAA said. &ldquo;We do not know how many people were on board. The FAA is temporarily pausing flights into the airport.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Scottsdale&rsquo;s mayor, Lisa Borowsky, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc15.com\/news\/region-northeast-valley\/scottsdale\/scottsdale-airport-runway-closed-after-plane-crash-injuries-unclear\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">commented<\/a> on the accident, providing the information she knew at the time and expressing her condolences to the family of the person who was killed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Today, Scottsdale sadly experienced an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/china-claims-black-box-found-but-asks-public-to-wait-years-for-plane-crash-explanation\/\" title=\"China Claims Black Box Found, But Asks Public to Wait Years for ...
