J.B. Pritzker Friday blasted the Trump administration, vowing to fight a recent lawsuit that the U.S. Department of Justice filed against the state and Chicago over the state&rsquo;s migrant sanctuary policies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In Illinois, we have grit, we are tough, we are strong and Donald Trump has no idea what he&rsquo;s up against when he attacks Illinois,&rdquo; Pritzker said at an unrelated event Friday.<\/p>\n<p>In the first two weeks of being in office, Trump began an independent audit of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-reasons-making-taxpayers-pay-off-student-loans-is-a-rotten-idea\/\" title=\"5 Reasons Making Taxpayers Pay Off Student Loans Is A Rotten Idea\">federal spending<\/a>, ended federal DEI policies and took actions on immigration, all things House Speaker Emannuel &ldquo;Chris&rdquo; Welch, D-Hillside, criticized on the House floor Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What&rsquo;s coming out of Washington D.C. can be summed up in one word: fascism,&rdquo; Welch said.<\/p>\n<p>State Rep. Chris Miller, R-Oakland, said Democrats continue to try and distract from what he said were their failed policies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They don&rsquo;t want the people of Illinois talking about safety and security, quality education, economic opportunity, the inflation rate that they&rsquo;ve all caused through bad public policy,&rdquo; Miller told The Center Square. &ldquo;They want to try to defer, deflect, pivot, get you to talk about anything other than the facts.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Miller said it&rsquo;s the &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-says-he-can-make-a-case-for-not-debating-kamala-harris-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Trump says he can \u2018make a case\u2019 for not debating Kamala Harris - Washington Examiner\">radical left&#038;rdquo<\/a>; that are the real fascists.<\/p>\n<p>State Rep. Blaine Wilhour, R-Beecher City, said it&rsquo;s been a sight to behold watching Democrats in Illinois reacting.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They&rsquo;ve been reduced to a puddle of tears in there, crying about all of these great executive orders that President Trump [has] done,&rdquo; Wilhour told The Center Square. &ldquo;These are things that he ran on.
