But that&rsquo;s three more press conferences than they&rsquo;ve ever held in response to China&rsquo;s cyberattacks that infiltrated our systems and actually <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-chief-says-china-stole-sensitive-data-for-use-in-ai-program\/\" title=\"FBI Chief Says China Stole ... for Use in AI Program\">stole sensitive data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat members of the House Ways and Means Committee held a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WPCl6Y6vGhU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press conference<\/a> attacking the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for being granted read-only access to the Treasury Department&rsquo;s payment system. Senate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democrats.senate.gov\/news\/press-releases\/leader-schumer-floor-remarks-slamming-doge-anti-democratic-takeover-of-key-government-agencies-in-dead-of-night\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democrats<\/a> also held a similar press <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=j-_5FszArnk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">briefing<\/a>, calling DOGE&rsquo;s oversight a &ldquo;hostile takeover of the Treasury Department.&rdquo; Democrats also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jvHHZqBe9wg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">assembled outside<\/a> the Capitol to rally support for fleecing the taxpayers more to pay for things like transgender comic books in Peru.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-163797239\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Democrats also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democrats.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/leader-schumer-leads-senate-democrats-in-demanding-secretary-bessent-meet-with-senate-democrats-to-bring-transparency-and-clarity-to-doge-chaos-at-treasury-senate-dems-call-doges-hostile-takeover-a-dangerous-compromise-of-americans-privacy-and-economic-and-national-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">feigned outrag<\/a>e about DOGE &ldquo;having access to the management and disbursement of trillions of dollars and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/brazenly-ignoring-the-law-texas-sues-facebook-for-using-facial-recognition-to-harvest-personal-information\/\" title=\"&#039;Brazenly Ignoring&#039; the Law: Texas Sues Facebook for Using Facial Recognition to Harvest ...\">highly sensitive information<\/a> of millions of Americans.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Yet, this is the same party that, after Chinese hackers have repeatedly breached our cybersecurity and stolen millions of Americans&rsquo; sensitive data, has stayed silent.<\/p>\n<p>Just this past December, Chinese hackers &ldquo;breached the U.S. Treasury Department&rsquo;s computer security guardrails &hellip; and stole documents in what Treasury called a &lsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/25472740-letter-to-chairman-brown-and-ranking-member-scott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">major incident<\/a>,&#8217;&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/cybersecurity\/us-treasurys-workstations-hacked-cyberattack-by-china-afp-reports-2024-12-30\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reuters<\/a>. The Treasury Department claimed the Chinese hackers accessed unclassified documents and Treasury user workstations.<\/p>\n<p>A cursory search of &ldquo;Senate Democrats China Hacked Treasury Department December, 2024&rdquo; brings up &hellip; nothing. No press briefings. No collective statement. A few lone voices spoke out, but even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2024\/dec\/13\/democrats-republicans-condemn-salt-typhoon-hack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Guardian<\/a> reported in December that &ldquo;the issue has gained little public traction &hellip;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This wasn&rsquo;t China&rsquo;s first breach, either. In October, Chinese hackers infiltrated the U.S. telecommunications system. The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/10\/25\/us\/politics\/trump-vance-hack.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> the hackers are believed to have breached the telecommunication network to try and target President Donald Trump and his campaign.<\/p>\n<p>And what did Democrats do?<\/p>\n<p>They certainly didn&rsquo;t get together to hold repeated press briefings. They didn&rsquo;t collectively release any statements. They didn&rsquo;t care enough to drive public attention toward a massive problem. Once again, just a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/live\/?ref=watch_permalink&amp;v=432866109868291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">few lone wolves<\/a> spoke out about the issue. <\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Chinese <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/amp\/US\/exclusive-25-million-affected-opm-hack-sources\/story?id=32332731\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hackers stole<\/a> the personal information of more than 22 million people, including their Social Security numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps if Democrats had approached our number one geopolitical foe with the same vitriol they have toward a domestic agency intent on rooting out waste and fraud, then Chinese hackers wouldn&rsquo;t have been able to continue hacking our system and putting sensitive information <em>actually in risk. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>But Democrats don&rsquo;t actually care about protecting Americans or our data.
