the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jen-psaki-says-shed-be-happy-to-take-on-kayleigh-mcenany-on-fox-news\/\" title=\"Jen Psaki Says She\u2019d Be \u2018Happy\u2019 To Take On Kayleigh McEnany On Fox News\u00a0\">press secretary added<\/a>. &ldquo;The president is committed to working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Congress<\/a> to get this done.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As Leavitt spoke with reporters, Trump&rsquo;s meeting with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/speaker-of-the-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">House Speaker<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/mike-johnson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Mike Johnson<\/a>, which started at 11 a.m., was ongoing amid disagreement over how Republicans in the House and Senate should proceed to keep the government open past March 14, in addition to how to fund some of the president&rsquo;s policy priorities.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting comes one day after Senate Budget Committee Chair <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/lindsey-graham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Lindsey Graham<\/a> (R-SC) announced he would commence marking up the Senate&rsquo;s own $300 billion budget resolution next week, including money for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/pentagon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Pentagon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/border-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">border security<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">energy<\/a> programs, as opposed to deferring to Johnson and the House. <\/p>\n<p>Graham and Senate Majority Leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/john-thune\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">John Thune<\/a> (R-SD) want to enact Trump&rsquo;s tax proposals through a second reconciliation bill.
