The entire House Democratic Caucus family is praying for their swift recovery.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Each and every day, the Capitol Police put their lives on the line to ensure that the&nbsp;United States Congress, the crown jewel of representative Democracy, can safely do the people&rsquo;s work,&rdquo; they said. &ldquo;It is with admiration and gratitude for the life and death work of the USCP that we pray for the loved ones of Recruit Officer Katz and all of those reeling from this tragedy.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The recruits were transported via a &ldquo;life flight&rdquo; to nearby&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/southeast\/florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jacksonville, Florida,<\/a> a source told Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We were devastated to learn that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/s-d-gov-calls-for-ag-resignation-as-ag-faces-criminal-charges-linked-to-2020-fatal-car-crash\/\" title=\"S.D. Gov. calls for AG resignation as AG faces criminal charges linked to 2020 fatal ...\">fatal car crash<\/a> in Glynn County, Georgia took the life of one of our recruit officers over the weekend,&rdquo; a Capitol Police statement said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Georgia State Police continue their investigation,&rdquo; the statement added. &ldquo;The recruit officers joined our Department in November.
