It was retrieved in the crater caused by the plane&rsquo;s impact when it crashed into one of the city&rsquo;s streets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>The &ldquo;black box&rdquo; is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/black-box-found-victims-list-updated-in-tragic-philadelphia-plane-crash-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"..., victims list updated, in tragic ... - Washington Examiner\">plane cockpit&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s voice recorder, which provides information about the flight, including the last words and, if any, communication from the plane&rsquo;s pilots to air traffic control. The recordings will provide insight into what happened in the last minutes of the crash, possibly revealing answers to what caused the tragic accident.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Learjet 55 aircraft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/infrastructure\/3307710\/philadelphia-plane-crash-leaves-seven-dead-19-injured\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">crashed<\/a> into the streets of Philadelphia shortly after departing from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration reported. The plane was scheduled to arrive at Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri. Six people, including the pilot, were on the flight. There were no survivors, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/infrastructure\/3307710\/philadelphia-plane-crash-leaves-seven-dead-19-injured\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">reports<\/a>. One other person on the street was also killed upon the plane&rsquo;s impact, which brought the total to seven killed. <\/p>\n<p>The black box was discovered 8 feet underground at the crash site, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. The device was located after a two-day search and is in &ldquo;decent shape,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/post\/black-box-found-medical-jet-crashed-northeast-philadelphia-sources\/15858101\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> WPVI, an ABC affiliate in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker held a press conference on Sunday to provide an update about the victims of the crash and the total number of people injured from it. In addition to the deceased, there were 22 people injured. Five are still hospitalized, and three are in critical condition, Philadelphia&rsquo;s NBC 10 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/update-northeast-philly-plane-crash-investigation\/4096637\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Parker also said many of the facts circulating about the crash were not true.
