ability to ensure accurate voter rolls, The Federalist learned. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Transparency earns trust, and I&rsquo;ll continue to do everything in my power to make Ohio&rsquo;s elections the most transparent in the nation,&rdquo; LaRose said in a statement. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-24583123\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to an office press release obtained by The Federalist, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/elections\/election-results-and-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new data webpage<\/a> will give &ldquo;daily updates of voter registration changes across Ohio&rsquo;s 88 counties, including new registrations, updates, and removals from voter rolls.&rdquo; Ohio law mandates that local election boards &ldquo;generate daily snapshots of their county voter registration database and provide those snapshots to the Secretary of State&rsquo;s office,&rdquo; according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/globalassets\/elections\/advisories\/2024\/adv2024-01_data_act.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">February 2024 memo<\/a> issued by LaRose. <\/p>\n<p>The GOP secretary of state&rsquo;s office noted that citizens are encouraged to &ldquo;crowdsource&rdquo; information from the new online portal and use it to &ldquo;report any discrepancies&rdquo; to state election officials to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lawsuit-forces-los-angeles-county-to-remove-1-2-million-ineligible-voters-from-rolls\/\" title=\"Lawsuit Forces Los Angeles County To Remove 1.2 Million Ineligible Voters From Rolls\">maintain accurate voter rolls<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;On the heels of the smoothest presidential election in Ohio&rsquo;s history, this new tool will generate an even deeper level of trust in our elections and bolster election integrity in 2025 and beyond,&rdquo; LaRose said.<\/p>\n<p>The new portal comes as part of LaRose&rsquo;s implementation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/media-center\/press-releases\/2023\/2023-07-05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DATA Act<\/a>, which was approved in July 2023 with the purpose of enhancing transparency and efficiency surrounding Ohio&rsquo;s election data and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mcconnell-shreds-controversial-bill-democrats-trying-to-pass-even-the-left-wing-aclu-opposes-this-bill\/\" title=\"McConnell Shreds Controversial Bill Democrats Trying To Pass: \u2018Even The Left-Wing ACLU Opposes This Bill\u2019\">voter list maintenance<\/a>. The Ohio Republican used the law&rsquo;s provisions to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/12\/ohio-launches-election-integrity-office-to-ensure-transparency-in-future-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">create<\/a> the state&rsquo;s Office of Data Analytics and Archives that same month, which oversees such matters.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of the Buckeye State&rsquo;s new online portal is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/media-center\/press-releases\/2024\/2024-05-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">several<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/media-center\/press-releases\/2024\/2024-10-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">actions<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/media-center\/press-releases\/2024\/2024-05-07\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adopted<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/media-center\/press-releases\/2023\/2023-09-14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by<\/a> LaRose to ensure accurate and transparent elections.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Ohio was among numerous Republican-led states to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/03\/20\/ohio-iowa-withdraw-from-democrat-operative-controlled-voter-roll-maintenance-group-eric\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">withdraw<\/a> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/electronic-registration-information-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electronic Registration Information Center<\/a> (ERIC), a leftist-linked voter roll &ldquo;maintenance&rdquo; group. <\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/11\/democratic-operatives-control-voter-rolls-in-31-states-report-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, the organization was founded by Democrat activist&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/person\/david-becker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">David Becker<\/a>&nbsp;and &ldquo;sold to states as a quick and easy way to update their voter rolls.&rdquo; In actuality, ERIC&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/11\/democratic-operatives-control-voter-rolls-in-31-states-report-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inflates voter rolls<\/a>&nbsp;by requiring member states to contact eligible but unregistered residents to register to vote.<\/p>\n<p>ERIC also <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/03\/10-lies-democrats-tell-about-our-elections-and-how-to-refute-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> shares voter roll information with the Center for Election Innovation and Research (<a href=\"https:\/\/electioninnovation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CEIR<\/a>), another Becker-founded group known for its &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/10\/12\/the-2020-election-wasnt-stolen-it-was-bought-by-mark-zuckerberg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zuckbucks<\/a>&rdquo; interference in the 2020 election. <\/p>\n<p>In a March 2023 letter <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/03\/20\/ohio-iowa-withdraw-from-democrat-operative-controlled-voter-roll-maintenance-group-eric\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explaining<\/a> his decision to withdraw from ERIC, LaRose noted that the organization &ldquo;repeatedly [chose] to ignore demands to embrace reforms that would bolster confidence in its performance, encourage growth in its membership, and ensure not only its present stability but also its durability.&rdquo;
