arrival two years ago, we have since supported these families,&rdquo; Spano said.<\/p>\n<p>The settlement with the hotel means that &ldquo;the residents have now vacated without disruption.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The illegal aliens will move to permanent housing or to facilities operated by the New York City Department of Homeless Services.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Their transition to alternate housing is the result of the hotel&rsquo;s irresponsible refusal to adhere to Yonkers&rsquo; local zoning, housing and fire ordinances, which placed many of the hotel&rsquo;s residents in danger,&rdquo; the mayor continued.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I am pleased that through our partnerships with local non-for-profits and social services, these families now can continue their journey in seeking asylum in our country,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/thank-god-got-nyc-resident-thrilled-trump-homan-took-illegal-gang-banger-neighbor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York City<\/a> has come under scrutiny for using hotels to house illegal aliens, an initiative that has contributed to significant burdens on taxpayers from the influxes of foreigners.<\/p>\n<p>The Big Apple is slated to spend more than $17 billion on the programs from fiscal year 2023 through the end of fiscal year 2028, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/comptroller.nyc.gov\/services\/for-the-public\/accounting-for-asylum-seeker-services\/fiscal-impacts\/#:~:text=Management%20and%20Budget-,Spending,planned%20reimbursements%20from%20the%20State.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> from New York City Comptroller Brad Lander.<\/p>\n<p>That includes almost $2.5 billion in fiscal year 2025 alone, although almost $1.4 billion will be reimbursed by the state.<\/p>\n<p>New York City also handed out <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">prepaid debit cards<\/a> to at least some incoming illegal aliens.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/03\/26\/us-news\/nyc-begins-handing-out-prepaid-debit-cards-to-migrants-in-controversial-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> from the New York Post published in March of last year found that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nyc-hands-prepaid-debit-cards-immigrants-threw-away-charity-food-yes-read-right\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">preloaded<\/a> Mastercards were distributed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/americans-to-spend-billions-on-obamacare-for-illegals-under-biden-plan\/\" title=\"Americans to Spend Billions on Obamacare for Illegals Under Biden Plan\">illegal alien residents<\/a> of the Roosevelt Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>That came after some illegal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-issues-big-beautiful-quotas-ice-officers-arrests-illegals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aliens<\/a> threw out charity food provided to them.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The food is bad.
