The comments drew\u2062 concern from the senators, \u200bwho seemed apprehensive \u200babout the FBI&#8217;s previous actions\u200c being turned against them. Patel, who has been endorsed\u200c by\u200b over 300,<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">000 \u200claw enforcement officers<\/a>, defended himself against accusations of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-grants-26-pardons-and-3-commutations-includes-numerous-prominent-names\/\" title=\"Trump Grants 26 Pardons And 3 Commutations, Includes Numerous Prominent Names\">political bias<\/a>, asserting \u2064that he would uphold the Constitution\u200b and apply \u2064the\u200d same standards to all FBI \u2063employees.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, senators like Richard \u200bBlumenthal pressed Patel to guarantee \u200bjob security for FBI agents involved in\u2064 investigations against Trump, indicating that his ability\u200c to protect these employees would be a measure of his\u2064 commitment to\u2064 preventing political interference in the\u2063 agency. \u200dSenator Amy Klobuchar expressed\u2064 frustration over patel&#8217;s responses, accusing him \u200cof \u2062not directly answering her questions, especially regarding comments he made about restructuring the FBI&#8217;s headquarters. \u200b <\/p>\n<p>Patel later clarified that his remarks were aimed at emphasizing the\u200d need for the \u200cFBI\u200b to focus resources\u2062 outside of Washington,D.C., rather than shutting it down. despite his explanations,the senators continued\u200d to challenge his responses,prompting criticism that they were misusing the hearing for\u2062 political posturing. The event highlighted tensions \u2063over the perceived politicization of the FBI and the ongoing scrutiny of it&#8217;s actions during \u2062the \u2063Trump administration.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>In a Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, feckless Democrat senators grilled Kash Patel, President Donald Trump&rsquo;s nominee for FBI director, trying to paint him as a Trump henchman hellbent on seeking revenge for all the crap the FBI put Trump and American citizens through.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s no wonder they are worried; the nation has seen how the FBI has been turned into a political weapon, and Democrats don&rsquo;t want it pointed at them.<\/p>\n<p>The Federalist has written extensively about corruption within the FBI under Democrats&rsquo; watch, including the Russia collusion <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/27\/the-new-york-times-still-refuses-to-admit-kash-patel-was-right-about-russiagate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hoax<\/a> that Patel helped disprove; the gun-toting dawn <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/13\/wrays-resignation-wont-undo-trauma-his-fbi-foot-soldiers-caused-innocent-families\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raids<\/a> on the homes of nonviolent citizens; the overreaching <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/mar-a-lago-raid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">invasion<\/a> of Trump&rsquo;s Mar-a-Lago home; and the tampering in the federal election by <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/12\/14\/8-times-our-federal-government-ran-a-protect-biden-racket\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concealing<\/a> the legitimacy of Hunter Biden&rsquo;s incriminating laptop.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats called Patel a conspiracy theorist and a Trump loyalist. They asked him many times whom he intended to go after on Trump&rsquo;s behalf and whether he would ever tell Trump he would not pursue a case, implying that it is both Trump&rsquo;s and Patel&rsquo;s plan to misuse the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Any accusations leveled against me that I would somehow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/durbin-equates-menendez-indictments-to-trumps-equally-serious-charges\/\" title=\"Durbin compares Menendez indictments to Trump&#039;s &#039;equally grave allegations&#039;\">put political bias<\/a> before the Constitution are grotesquely unfair,&rdquo; Patel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0YPoHEUlFNw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>. &ldquo;I will have you reminded that I have been endorsed by over 300,000 law enforcement officers to become the next director of the FBI.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>They could not stomach this much-repeated answer.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat senators pressured Patel to give assurances he would protect the jobs of FBI employees involved with the attempted Trump take-down, no matter what. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For example, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., asked for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gowokegobroke-cruz-lee-call-to-end-mlb-antitrust-protections-after-league-boycotts-georgia\/\" title=\"\u2018#GowokeGobroke\u2019: Cruz, Lee Call To End MLB Antitrust Protections After League Boycotts Georgia\">special protections<\/a> for those involved in Special Counsel Jack Smith&rsquo;s classified documents case, which was behind the Mar-a-Lago raid.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You&rsquo;ve committed that the FBI will not be politicized, so here&rsquo;s your first test. Amy Klobuchar, D-Md., went three minutes over her allotted time, reading Patel&rsquo;s words &mdash; often out-of-context &mdash; from social media posts, his book, and media appearances, becoming increasingly agitated and apparently close to angry tears.<\/p>\n<p>Fully showboating, Klobuchar insisted on extra time, claiming her question was of great importance.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Could he just answer the question?&rdquo; Klobuchar said. &ldquo;If he said that the FBI headquarters, where they investigate cybercrime and terrorism, should shut down and open as a deep state &mdash; as a museum. Did he say that the headquarters should be shut down? I deserve an answer to that question. He is asking to be head of the FBI, and he said that their headquarters should be shut down.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>&#128680; Kash Patel hands Sen. If you increase that aperture just slightly to encompass the national capital region, that is 11,000 FBI employees work in the national capital region,&rdquo; Patel said. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A third of the workforce for the FBI works in Washington, D.C.,&rdquo; Patel continued. &ldquo;I am fully committed to having that workforce go out into the interior of the country, where I live, west of the Mississippi, and work with sheriff&rsquo;s departments and local officers. And having one agent prevent one homicide, and having one agent in Washington prevent one rape, and I will do that over and over and over again, because the American people deserve the resources, not in Washington, D.C., but in the rest of the country.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Time and again, Patel answered questions and was immediately met with retorts along the lines of &ldquo;You are not answering the question!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Senators, among the highest elected officials in the nation (some with law degrees and a grasp of the language), trotted out false statements and shady &ldquo;facts&rdquo; and refused to accept the answers of a sworn witness.
