This \u200cinitiative aligns with\u2064 efforts by former President Donald Trump, who issued an executive\u200b order\u2064 on his \u200dfirst day back in \u2062the\u2064 White \u2062House\u200c to abolish DEI programs, which he <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">claimed undermined merit-based systems<\/a> in government. various offices &ldquo;by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-orders-end-to-dei-and-signals-restoring-military-base-names\/\" title=\"Trump orders end to DEI and signals restoring military base names\">replacing hard work<\/a>, merit, and equality with a divisive and dangerous preferential hierarchy.&rdquo; The Trump administration has also ordered federal employees to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3299011\/trump-hardball-tactics-root-out-dei-federal-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"report\">report<\/a> any efforts to continue DEI efforts under different titles or methods as it seeks to eliminate the programs.<\/p>\n<p>Mills&rsquo;s bill, titled the DEI to DIE Act, would have the director of the Office of Management and Budget, the attorney general, and the director of the Office of Personnel Management &ldquo;coordinate the termination of all discriminatory programs,&rdquo; including DEI, by reviewing all federal &ldquo;employment practices, union contracts, and training policies or programs.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The bill would also require the termination of various &ldquo;equity&rdquo; initiatives, actions, and programs, along with &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-admin-unleashes-overall-transformation-of-government-with-collateral-action-plans\/\" title=\"Biden Admin Unleashes \u2018Overall Transformation Of Government\u2019 With \u2018Collateral Action Plans\u2019\">equity action plans<\/a>,&rdquo; while also ending &ldquo;all DEI, DEIA, and &lsquo;&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/was-environmental-justice-needs-complicating-linkage-to-ca-quebec-carbon-market-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"WA\u2019s \u2018environmental justice\u2019 needs complicating linkage to CA-Quebec carbon market - Washington Examiner\">environmental justice&#038;rsquo<\/a>; offices and positions.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I am proud to introduce the DEI to DIE Act, which will enact President Trump&rsquo;s executive order for a comprehensive government ban on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives,&rdquo; Mills said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We will correct the failures caused by prioritizing woke policies by dismantling DEI-driven programs that have weakened government efficiency and imposed divisive ideologies under the Biden Administration. This includes strengthening military readiness, improving the U.S. Secret Service&rsquo;s protective efforts, and fixing education programs that have placed ideology above academic achievement,&rdquo; he added. &ldquo;By restoring merit-based hiring and standards, we are prioritizing performance and unity, we will restore fundamental American principles, and keep national security as our top priority.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Eliminating DEI programs has been one of the main efforts by the Trump administration in its bid to undo many of the initiatives put in place by the Biden administration.
