The study analyzed various <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">data categories including job creation<\/a>, consumer\u200b spending, inflation, business growth,\u200b corporate taxes, adn the migration \u200dof educated workers. Washington excels in several\u2064 areas,particularly in business growth and receiving a top score for its lack of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-ranks-near-bottom-in-state-business-tax-climate-report\/\" title=\"California&#039;s State Business Tax Climate Ranks Poorly: Report\">corporate income \u200dtax<\/a>,even though it does impose a business and\u200d occupation tax based on gross receipts. The state performed well\u2063 across the metrics, achieving first place in consumer spending growth and new\u200c business growth. However, according to the state Department of Revenue, people or businesses that engage in business in Washington are subject to a business and occupation, or B&amp;O, tax and\/or public utility tax.
