While Trump&rsquo;s Democratic opponents lamented his first executive orders, Smith pointed out that these were merely examples of Trump&rsquo;s campaign promises. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Here&rsquo;s the deal. The man was&nbsp;impeached twice. He was&nbsp;convicted on 34 felony counts.&nbsp;And the American people still&nbsp;said he&rsquo;s closer to normal than&nbsp;what,&rdquo; Smith said. &ldquo;He promised you he was going to&nbsp;do these things. And he walked&nbsp;in the office, week one. Your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-is-it-offensive-to-call-kamala-a-dei-hire\/\" title=\"Why Is It Offensive To Call Kamala A DEI Hire?\">kids don&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t have a&nbsp;future. I&rsquo;m going to bring the&nbsp;cost of living down.&rsquo; And then&nbsp;he&rsquo;s doing nothing. Nothing,&nbsp;nothing with wages, nothing with&nbsp;the economy. He&rsquo;s putting out a meme&nbsp;coin.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I mean, he just got there. This is a week,&nbsp;five days,&rdquo; Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>Khanna went on to complain that Trump&rsquo;s celebrity status helped him win. The representative implied that his stints on television shows and movies helped form a sense of humor that wins campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But when&nbsp;you bring up celebrity, it&rsquo;s&nbsp;pretty hard to make that&nbsp;argument when you see&nbsp;politicians that are on&nbsp;X, on Facebook, and Instagram and&nbsp;TikTok, because you have to&nbsp;reach an audience,&rdquo; Smith said. &ldquo;You can&lsquo;t&nbsp;complain about that when you&lsquo;re&nbsp;a Dem. When that assisted an&nbsp;Obama, win an election in 2008&nbsp;and 2012.
