The documents revealed the hospital&rsquo;s insertion of puberty blockers in patients as young as 11. Haim, a general surgeon, argued he acted to protect children from harmful and unethical procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Haim maintains the case against him was politically motivated and has argued there were missteps by the Department of Justice under former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Joe Biden<\/a>. Hittner, an appointee of former President Ronald Reagan, criticized government prosecutors for multiple errors, including withdrawing a lead prosecutor with alleged ties to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>In June, three armed U.S. marshals arrived at Haim&rsquo;s door to serve him with a felony indictment. Over the following months, Haim and his wife depleted their savings, leaving them, as he described, &ldquo;completely alone and hemorrhaging cash.&rdquo; He started fundraisers for his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-justice-department-pick-opposed-enforcing-civil-rights-laws-against-blacks\/\" title=\"Biden Justice Department Pick Opposed Enforcing Civil Rights Laws Against Blacks\">legal defense fund<\/a> and even made the rounds on online conservative podcasts with prominent figures like Tucker Carlson and Jordan Peterson, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefp.com\/p\/biden-prosecution-eithan-haim-gender-care-childrens-hospital-transitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">according<\/a> to the <em>Free Press<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan Patrick, an attorney for Haim, told the <em>Washington Examiner <\/em>the most interesting part about the dismissal is that the dismissal came from &ldquo;career staff&rdquo; in the DOJ &ldquo;less than week after the previous Biden-appointed U.S. attorney&rdquo; left the administration.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So that dismissal is signed by his criminal chief, who is a non political appointee, career staffer. I think that shows the situation of this case within the Department of Justice and within the local office that the career staff is the one who signed this dismissal after the presidential appointee left,&rdquo; Patrick said.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The dismissal request comes as debates over youth gender transition procedures intensify nationwide.
