This pattern reflects a ample increase in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-republican-files-proposal-to-create-5-million-fund-that-could-alleviate-trump-legal-fees\/\" title=\"Florida Republican proposes M fund to ease Trump&#039;s legal expenses\">politically motivated legal actions<\/a> since 2021,contrasting\u2064 with the previous decades. The\u2064 pardons \u200dare expected to provide \u200brelief to those who oppose the current \u2063administration&#8217;s approach to the issue.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>President Donald Trump is expected to follow through on his promise to get pro-lifers jailed by the Biden regime for their peaceful protests <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/16\/petitions-ask-trump-to-pardon-the-pro-lifers-he-promised-to-get-out-of-the-biden-gulags\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;out of the gulags&rdquo;<\/a> this week via presidential pardon.<\/p>\n<p>The pardons are not only significant for the pro-life movement, which is amping up for its annual March For Life in Washington, D.C. this Friday, but also for Americans who hoped Trump would remedy the havoc wreaked by the Biden administration&rsquo;s partisan prosecutions.<\/p>\n<p>As of President Joe Biden&rsquo;s inauguration in January 2021, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/beto-orourkes-seven-greatest-hits-walls-do-not-save-lives-walls-end-lives\/\" title=\"Beto O\u2019Rourke&#039;s Seven Greatest Hits: &#039;Walls Do Not Save Lives, Walls End Lives&#039;\">federal government&#038;nbsp<\/a>;had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jacksonville.com\/story\/news\/2022\/05\/09\/abortions-last-stand-post-roe-future-already-happening-florida\/9680312002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">brought fewer than 100 FACE Act prosecutions<\/a>&nbsp;since the&nbsp;law&rsquo;s&nbsp;inception in 1994. By 2024, the Democrat regime opened 60 cases,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/christopher-wray-says-fbi-does-not-target-peaceful-pro-lifers-the-stats-prove-otherwise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">only five<\/a>&nbsp;of which zeroed in on pro-abortion extremists. The other 55 targeted peaceful pro-lifers. <\/p>\n<p>The pardons, according to reporting from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/president-trump-to-pardon-imprisoned-pro-life-activists-within-days\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Wire<\/a>, will extend to lawfare victims like <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/14\/peaceful-pro-lifer-gets-years-in-prison-after-biden-doj-targeted-her-under-face-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lauren Handy<\/a> and 75-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2024\/06\/04\/75-year-old-woman-feels-joy-face-two-year-prison-sentence-pro-life-activism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paulette Harlow<\/a>, who are currently serving sentences in federal prisons for convictions brought under the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/28\/the-face-act-is-unconstitutional-its-past-time-congress-got-rid-of-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bevelyn Williams, a mother who runs a <a href=\"https:\/\/atwellministries.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christian nonprofit<\/a> that aims to help families in need, is also expected to benefit from the pardon. Williams faced a <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240814044655\/https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2024\/07\/31\/pro-life-mom-will-appeal-3-year-prison-term-for-protesting-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">41-month prison sentence<\/a> handed down by a New York judge who &ldquo;made it very clear in the courtroom that she was going to [make an] example out&rdquo; of the pro-life activist for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-sdny\/pr\/tennessee-woman-sentenced-41-months-prison-violating-freedom-access-clinic-entrances\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">daring to protest<\/a> at a Manhattan abortion facility in June 2020.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Thomas More Society, which defended several of the peaceful protestors throughout the lawfare, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/16\/petitions-ask-trump-to-pardon-the-pro-lifers-he-promised-to-get-out-of-the-biden-gulags\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">submitted<\/a> petitions for pardons to Trump last week on behalf of nearly two dozen people who they say were &ldquo;unjustly imprisoned&rdquo; and &ldquo;unjustly convicted&rdquo; simply because they<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/19\/yes-bidens-department-of-justice-wants-to-imprison-peaceful-pro-lifers-for-praying\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;prayed, sang, and evangelized<\/a> at abortion facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, reintroduced&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/roy.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/roy.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/Bill%20Text%20-%20Roy_FACE%20ACT%20REPEAL_119th.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">legislation<\/a>&nbsp;days before Trump&rsquo;s executive order that, if passed, would <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/21\/republicans-led-by-chip-roy-move-to-repeal-the-act-biden-used-to-jail-peaceful-pro-lifers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">repeal the&nbsp;FACE Act<\/a>. Roy is among several Republicans who have <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">joined pro-life advocacy groups<\/a> in pointing out not only the unconstitutionality of the law but the abuse of it at Biden&rsquo;s direction.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s nothing economic or interstate about folks conducting a sit-in at an abortion clinic, and that&rsquo;s really what the essence of FACE was always about.
