Their rhetoric and voting records on common sense and popular protections for women and babies, however, confirm they support ending life up to and even through birth.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent display of this radicalism occurred on Wednesday, the 52nd anniversary of <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, when all 47 Democrats in the U.S. Senate voted to block a bill that seeks to criminalize leaving babies born alive during botched abortions to die. The blue party&rsquo;s unanimous rejection of the legislation hampered Republicans from invoking the 60-vote cloture minimum needed to overcome a filibuster.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ronjohnson.senate.gov\/services\/files\/05A3C5BC-D704-41FE-8A9E-3D8387643177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,&rdquo;<\/a> reintroduced earlier this month by Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, James Lankford of Oklahoma, and Jim Banks of Indiana, aimed to require healthcare workers who witness a baby&rsquo;s survival after attempted dismemberment or chemical abortion to immediately rescue and medically treat the child just as they would any other prematurely delivered newborn patient. <\/p>\n<p>Failure to administer an abortion survivor proper aid, the legislation dictated, must be immediately reported to state and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/evidence-mounts-that-capitol-breach-was-pre-planned-eroding-incitement-allegation-in-trump-impeachment-trial\/\" title=\"Evidence Mounts that Capitol Breach Was Pre-Planned, Eroding Incitement Allegation in Trump Impeachment Trial\">federal law enforcement agencies<\/a> and could result in fines and up to five years imprisonment. Healthcare workers who not only fail to execute professional and proper care, but also actively work to end the life of a baby born alive would be eligible for murder charges and punishment. <\/p>\n<p>Women who undergo failed abortions, on the other hand, would not only be immune to prosecutions, but would also be endowed with the ability to sue healthcare professionals who fail to treat their babies with an adequate standard of survival care. <\/p>\n<p>A majority of Americans are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/poll-majority-of-americans-still-reject-democrats-unlimited-abortion-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">opposed to butchering babies beyond 15 weeks<\/a>. Yet, leaving babies to die has been a talking point for Democrats for years. In fact, many of the same senators who voted against the born-alive bill on Wednesday proudly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2020\/02\/born-alive-abortion-survivors-protection-act-democrats-justify-infanticide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filibustered<\/a> it in 2020, even though <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/National-SBA-List-Slides-February.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">polling<\/a> showed U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">voters overwhelmingly supported affirming adequate medical treatment<\/a> for babies despite the circumstances of their birth. <\/p>\n<p>Days before the 2025 vote on the legislation, Democrat senators spent nearly an hour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kIj5lpqF4p0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">defending<\/a> the practice of neglecting lifesaving care for babies outside the womb. They claimed such a bill is unnecessary since President George W. Bush&nbsp;signed similar legislation into law in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats&rsquo; corporate media allies have also gone to bat for the blue party by repeatedly insisting that there is &ldquo;no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it&rsquo;s born,&rdquo; as &ldquo;ABC News Live Prime&rdquo; anchor Linsey Davis <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/10\/during-debate-harris-refuses-to-say-whether-she-supports-abortion-through-all-nine-months\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">did<\/a> during one of the 2024 presidential debates.<\/p>\n<p>Evidence suggests, however, that states such as Minnesota and Virginia have <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/politics-policy\/elections\/tueaftwalzs-history-born-alive-abortions-opens-door-trump-gop-flip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allowed<\/a> and even advocated for babies born alive during abortions to die without lifesaving interventions under misnomered &ldquo;comfort care&rdquo; policies that are not stopped by current federal law.  <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">FORMER VA GOV. Americans reject this inhumanity and they have clearly rejected the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/out-of-state-democrats-pay-millions-to-influence-kansas-election-because-abortion-is-on-the-ballot\/\" title=\"Out-Of-State Democrats Pay Millions To Influence Kansas Election Because Abortion Is On The Ballot\">extreme pro-abortion agenda<\/a>,&rdquo;  SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. &ldquo;We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to that baby fighting for his or her life, whether in a hospital or an abortion center, whether that little one is deemed &lsquo;wanted&rsquo; or not. These children must not be discarded like trash.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Yet, that&rsquo;s exactly what Democrats have done.
