Economists and fiscal policy analysts stressed the need for increased transparency and accountability in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/while-you-pinch-inflated-pennies-congress-sent-900-of-your-household-income-to-ukraine\/\" title=\"Congress sent 0 of your household income to Ukraine while you pinch inflated pennies.\">federal accounting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Congressional Budget Office&rsquo;s most recent report delivered a grim outlook for federal finances, noting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/comparing-trump-and-bidens-covid-relief-bills\/\" title=\"Comparing Trump And Biden\u2019s COVID Relief Bills\">public debt<\/a> will rise to $52 trillion by 2035.<\/p>\n<p>Truth in Accounting Executive Director Sheila Weinberg said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mcconnell-does-not-expect-gop-will-help-democrats-raise-the-debt-ceiling\/\" title=\"McConnell Does Not Expect GOP Will Help Democrats Raise The Debt Ceiling\">current national debt<\/a> of $36 trillion reported by the U.S. government is not even close.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Our estimate is over $158 trillion, which includes more than $50 trillion in unfunded Social Security benefits and over $66 trillion in unfunded Medicare benefits,&rdquo; said Weinberg.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Weinberg added that the national debt share for each taxpayer is nearly $1 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to Andy Miller, a former CPA, Social Security will be depleted by 2033, while Medicare will be depleted by 2039.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The bottom line is the federal government system accounting is just wholly inadequate,&rdquo; said Miller.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The conference organizers called for bold leadership to address the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">long-term fiscal challenges facing<\/a> the nation.
