Georgia House Speaker Jon Burns lifted Moore&rsquo;s ban hours after his arrest.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;How can an attorney of the speaker of the House do some wrestling move, throw the senator to the ground and the senator gets arrested with 18 state troopers standing there?&rdquo; Moore asked reporters Friday. &ldquo;Yesterday, in my opinion, was the greatest constitutional debacle that we&rsquo;ve ever seen in the history of our state.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3284826\/inauguration-day-2025-donald-trump-jd-vance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">INAUGURATION DAY 2025: EVERYTHING TO KNOW AHEAD OF TRUMP TAKING OFFICE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some Republicans agreed with Moore, while others expressed their distaste for the spectacle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This unprecedented action undermines the integrity of our legislative process and sets a dangerous and unconstitutional precedent,&rdquo; Republican state Rep. Charlice Byrd said on the Georgia House floor.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Let me tell you something. Certain people use this (Capitol) as theater,&rdquo; Republican state Rep. Marcus Wiedower &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not here for that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Video footage shows police pushed him to the ground and arrested him. He was later taken to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/fulton-county\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Fulton County<\/a> Jail.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a joint session of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-happening-pennsylvania-state-legislature-files-resolution-disputes-statewide-2020-election-results\/\" title=\"It&#039;s Happening: Pennsylvania State Legislature Files Resolution -- DISPUTES STATEWIDE 2020 ELECTION RESULTS\">general assembly<\/a>. Your House rules do not apply.
