In fact, they&rsquo;re doing everything in their power to thumb their noses at the voters who overwhelmingly rejected their failed &ldquo;leadership&rdquo; on their way out the White House door. <\/p>\n<h2>1. Releasing Gitmo Prisoners<\/h2>\n<p>What better way to leave office than to empty the cells at Guantanamo Bay? <\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has been busy its last few weeks in office <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/Release\/Article\/4009125\/guantanamo-bay-detainee-transfers-announced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">repatriating<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/Release\/Article\/4022534\/guantanamo-bay-detainee-transfer-announced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">terrorists<\/a> and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/Release\/Article\/4008142\/guantanamo-bay-detainee-transfer-announced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bad actors<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/Release\/Article\/4018448\/guantanamo-bay-detainee-transfer-announced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">imprisoned<\/a> at Gitmo back to foreign countries throughout the world. The decision appears to be an attempt to fulfill Biden&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/09\/19\/politics\/guantanamo-state-of-play\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pledge<\/a> to close the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-dems-approve-massive-defense-budget-despite-calls-to-cut-spending\/\" title=\"House Dems Approve Massive Defense Budget Despite Calls To Cut Spending\">high-security detention facility<\/a> by the end of his presidency. <\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, relocating Gitmo detainees to foreign countries has produced horrendous consequences. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/01\/12\/opinion\/another-terrible-biden-legacy-releasing-more-gitmo-prisoners-who-will-terrorize-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Post<\/a>, &ldquo;Twenty-three years after the 9\/11 attacks on NYC, new US intelligence documents reveal 234 &lsquo;rehabbed&rsquo; former Gitmo detainees have returned to&nbsp;terrorism and killing Americans &mdash; an alarming 32% recidivism rate. Most of them have not been recaptured and are still at large.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>2. Pardoning Hunter<\/h2>\n<p>For Americans who have followed the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/biden-family-corruption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biden family&rsquo;s corruption<\/a>, it came as no surprise when Sleepy Joe doled out a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/02\/corporate-media-should-be-flogged-for-accepting-serial-liar-bidens-pledge-not-to-pardon-hunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blanket pardon<\/a> for his son Hunter last month. Rather than only wiping Hunter&rsquo;s slate clean of his tax and gun charges, Biden&rsquo;s pardon <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/02\/after-hunters-pardon-its-time-to-prosecute-the-rest-of-the-biden-crime-family\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">covered<\/a> all &ldquo;offenses against the United States which [Hunter] has committed or may have committed or taken part in&rdquo; dating back to January 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The move marked a clear attempt by the outgoing president to protect his son (and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/03\/hunter-bidens-pardon-is-all-about-protecting-joe-biden-not-his-son\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">himself<\/a>) from criminal investigation into the Biden family&rsquo;s foreign business dealings.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Energy Restrictions<\/h2>\n<p>The Biden administration&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/07\/biden-cancels-all-remaining-leases-congress-issued-in-arctic-refuge-further-gutting-american-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">war<\/a> on American energy is nothing new. But his latest action to stymie incoming President Donald Trump&rsquo;s plans to unleash the country&rsquo;s oil and gas industries takes on a whole new level of despicable.<\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist&rsquo;s Tristan Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/06\/biden-locks-up-oil-and-throws-away-the-key-with-lame-duck-restrictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, Biden issued an executive order earlier this month &ldquo;banning new oil and gas projects across 625 million acres of ocean across the East and West Coasts, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Bering Sea.&rdquo; While Trump has vowed to undo the &ldquo;ridiculous&rdquo; edict, the law weaponized by the outgoing administration to shut down the planned projects will seemingly make such an action much more difficult. <\/p>\n<h2>4. Terrible Ship Names<\/h2>\n<p>Nothing strikes fear into the hearts of America&rsquo;s enemies more than naval ships named after two of the most uninspiring leaders in modern U.S. history. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/defense\/5083227-biden-names-navy-aircraft-carriers-clinton-bush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> that two future U.S. aircraft carriers will be named after former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Because, as we all know, it&rsquo;s the presidents who launched America into forever wars in the Middle East (Bush) and committed unspeakable acts with a White House intern in the Oval Office (Clinton) who are deserving of having naval ships named after them.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Whitewashing Foreign Policy Failures<\/h2>\n<p>By far, one of the worst attributes of the Biden administration was its foreign policy. So naturally, Biden concluded his presidency gaslighting America about how &ldquo;great&rdquo; it was. <\/p>\n<p>In a rambling speech, the soon-to-be former president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/01\/13\/us\/politics\/biden-foreign-policy-speech.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> with a straight face, &ldquo;Right now, in my view, thanks to our administration, the United States is winning the worldwide competition. &hellip; Compared to four years ago, America is stronger, our alliances are stronger, our adversaries and competitors are weaker.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>That statement is only true if you ignore how Biden&rsquo;s weakness and inept foreign policy has invited <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/26\/a-second-biden-term-would-be-a-gift-to-red-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">greater<\/a> Chinese aggression toward U.S. partners in the Indo-Pacific, a Russian invasion of Ukraine, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/09\/4-huge-issues-the-pentagon-should-tackle-instead-of-financing-service-member-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attacks<\/a> on U.S. troops in the Middle East by Iranian proxies, and Hamas to launch a deadly terrorist attack on Israel. <\/p>\n<h2>6. Student Loan Bailout<\/h2>\n<p>After being denied by the U.S. Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/08\/28\/supreme-court-nukes-bidens-unlawful-student-loan-bailout-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">twice<\/a>, Biden is spending his final days in office attempting to circumvent the nation&rsquo;s high court by unilaterally bailing out student loan borrowers. The administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/joe-biden\/biden-cancels-student-loan-another-150000-borrowers-rcna187453\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> Monday it used taxpayer money to &ldquo;cancel&rdquo; the debts of more than 150,000 individuals who chose to take on such loans.<\/p>\n<h2>7. Ukraine Funding<\/h2>\n<p>It should come as no surprise that the administration that&rsquo;s regularly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/04\/our-government-serves-at-the-pleasure-of-everyone-except-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prioritized<\/a> foreign interests over the needs of U.S. citizens has spent its final weeks emptying America&rsquo;s coffers to the benefit of Ukraine. Biden and Co. have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/Release\/article\/4025039\/biden-administration-announces-additional-security-assistance-for-ukraine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">given<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/joe-biden-announces-his-final-2-5-billion-security-aid-package-to-ukraine-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">billions of dollars worth<\/a> of equipment and funding to Kyiv to assist in its war with Russia leading up to Trump&rsquo;s inauguration. <\/p>\n<p>The U.S. has allocated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukraineoversight.gov\/Funding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">close to $200 billion<\/a> for Ukraine since the conflict began.<\/p>\n<h2>8. Communist Cuba<\/h2>\n<p>Given its own embrace of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/category\/law\/lawfare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">communist-style tactics<\/a>, it wasn&rsquo;t a total shock when Biden helped out Cuba by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/14\/certification-of-rescission-of-cubas-designation-as-a-state-sponsor-of-terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rescinding<\/a> its designation as a state sponsor of terrorism.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Lawfare Antics<\/h2>\n<p>Even after his lawfare against Trump went up in smoke, Biden sought to take one final jab at the incoming president via his useful idiot Jack Smith. As The Federalist&rsquo;s Breccan Thies <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/15\/propaganda-press-wants-you-to-believe-trump-is-guilty-because-jack-smith-said-so\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, the DOJ-appointed special counsel released a report on his Jan. 6 prosecution of Trump that was &ldquo;designed for a woefully uncurious media complex to regurgitate nonsense about the bogus case.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Much to Democrats&rsquo; dismay, the report actually <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/15\/jack-smiths-report-proves-the-media-were-always-lying-about-j6-insurrection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dispelled<\/a> the faux argument that the Jan.6, 2021, demonstration amounted to an &ldquo;insurrection.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>10. Asinine and Dangerous Commutations<\/h2>\n<p>While not uncommon for presidents to issue commutations before leaving office, Biden&rsquo;s bid to reduce the sentences for convicted criminals has been nothing short of repulsive. <\/p>\n<p>Included in his list of commutations are individuals found guilty of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/12\/biden-quietly-commuted-sentences-of-chinese-spies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spying<\/a> on behalf of China&rsquo;s communist government. He also commuted the sentences of &ldquo;37 of the 40 men on federal death row &mdash; a list that includes at least five child killers and several mass murderers,&rdquo; according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/12\/23\/us-news\/biden-commutes-death-sentences-of-child-killers-and-mass-murderers-2-days-before-christmas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The sentences of nearly 2,500 so-called &ldquo;non-violent drug&rdquo; offenders were also <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/\/tipsheet\/jeff-charles\/2025\/01\/17\/joe-biden-commutes-sentences-of-2500-people-sentenced-for-nonviolent-drug-charges-n2650718\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reduced<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>11. Extending Temporary Protections for Foreign Nationals in America<\/h2>\n<p>As if allowing millions of illegal aliens to flood across the U.S.-Mexico border wasn&rsquo;t bad enough, Biden took his anti-American globalist agenda one step further. <\/p>\n<p>In an apparent effort to sabotage Trump&rsquo;s deportation plans, Biden announced last week he was extending, as Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/01\/10\/biden-migrants-trump-00197632\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a>, &ldquo;temporary deportation relief&rdquo; to foreign nationals from various nations, including Ukraine, El Salvador, Venezuela, and Sudan. The directive allegedly permits noncitizens from these countries who are residing in the U.S. with &ldquo;Temporary Protected Status to renew work permits and deportation protections &mdash; extending the program for El Salvador until March 2026 and Sudan, Ukraine and Venezuela until October 2026,&rdquo; according to the outlet. <\/p>\n<h2>12. Equal Rights Amendment<\/h2>\n<p>For a man supposedly enthralled with defending &ldquo;democracy,&rdquo; Biden has made it a personal habit to railroad it every chance he gets. Case in point: the so-called &ldquo;Equal Rights Amendment.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>Days before leaving office, the Delaware Democrat unilaterally declared that the aforementioned amendment &mdash; which would open the door for leftists to leverage America&rsquo;s founding document to advance <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/gender-theory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">radical gender theory<\/a> &mdash; had been ratified as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution. As The Federalist&rsquo;s Elle Purnell <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/17\/biden-attempts-to-change-the-constitution-via-press-release-on-his-way-out\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>, however, the ERA &ldquo;died 43 years ago when it failed to obtain ratification by three-fourths of state legislatures.
