The band will perform &ldquo;God Bless America&rdquo; and &ldquo;Fan the Flames,&rdquo; Liberty&rsquo;s fight song written by professor Dr. John Hugo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3284023\/what-to-expect-from-the-inauguration-in-dc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE INAUGURATION IN DC?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Liberty University football team takes on ECU in Williams Stadium, Sept. 21, 2024. (Photo by: Matt Reynolds)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;As the Director of this talented and dedicated group of student-musicians and performers, I am incredibly proud of their enthusiastic commitment to performing in the Inaugural Parade,&rdquo; Seipp wrote in a statement obtained by the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>. &ldquo;Our students are thrilled for this opportunity and are honored to represent Liberty University, our community, and our great Nation with pride!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Seipp also detailed how students have worked outside of classroom hours to practice their music and routines for this parade, citing how <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">band season concluded<\/a> in November. The professor also thanked the school for helping the band secure funding, hotel reservations, and transportation.<\/p>\n<p>President-elect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump<\/a> is no stranger to Liberty, as he<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gvl2y34puhY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> spoke<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xSAyOlQuVX4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">twice on the school&rsquo;s campus<\/a> for its convocation, in which students gather in the school&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lynchburgvirginia.org\/listings\/vines-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Vines Center<\/a> bi-weekly to worship God and listen to a speaker. (AP Photo\/Steve Helber, File)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monday&rsquo;s inauguration parade will also include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3285109\/trump-campaign-garbage-truck-inaugural-parade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">the garbage truck Trump used in Green Bay, Wisconsin<\/a>, which bore his campaign logo in a knock against President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Joe Biden<\/a>&lsquo;s comment that Trump supporters are &ldquo;garbage.&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/columnists\/3286441\/butler-county-first-responders-trump-inauguration-parade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">First responders from Trump&rsquo;s Butler County<\/a>, Pennsylvania, rally in July of last year, where the president-elect narrowly survived an assassination attempt, will also march in the parade to honor former fire chief Corey Comperatore, who was killed in the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>However, the parade is not the only appearance Liberty will make in the inaugural celebrations.
