as possible.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Biden is spending his final Friday as president of the United States basically wearing a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chinese_Red_Army\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Army cap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the outgoing president announced that he was &ldquo;affirming&rdquo; Biden declared.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I have supported the Equal Rights Amendment for more than 50 years, and I have long been clear that no one should be discriminated against based on their sex,&rdquo; Biden continued in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2025\/01\/17\/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-the-equal-rights-amendment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. &ldquo;We, as a nation, must affirm and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-are-men-still-allowed-to-batter-women-in-their-own-sports\/\" title=\"Why Are Men Still Allowed To Batter Women In Their Own Sports?\">protect women&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s full equality once and for all.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>(It&rsquo;s at this point that most sane people would ask Joe to define &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/every-parent-watch-musk-s-woman-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">women<\/a>,&rdquo; but I digress.)<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-gun-policies-concern-second-amendment-advocates\/\" title=\"Biden gun policies concern Second Amendment advocates\">long past time<\/a> to recognize the will of the American people,&rdquo; Biden continued, without a hint of irony after the events of Nov. 5.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In keeping with my oath and duty to Constitution and country, I affirm what I believe and what three-fourths of the states have ratified: the 28th Amendment is the law of the land, guaranteeing all Americans equal rights and protections under the law regardless of their sex,&rdquo; Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>Now, all of this sounds nice and fuzzy (if totally unnecessary, but more on that shortly), but it can&rsquo;t be stressed enough that Biden is nakedly trying to alter the Constitution with just days left of his disastrous presidency.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s the kind of banana republic stuff you&rsquo;d expect from an honest-to-goodness dictator.<\/p>\n<p>The ERA is&nbsp;<em>not&nbsp;<\/em>currently ratified because it failed to pass in enough states by a set deadline. After it was introduced in 1972, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/policy\/biden-equal-rights-amendment-constitution-2b990992?st=je7oYA&amp;reflink=desktopweb_permalink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Wall Street Journal<\/a>, it failed to convince 38 states to adopt it within a seven<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congress-deliberates-a-52-billion-semiconductor-bill\/\" title=\"Congress Deliberates a  Billion Semiconductor Bill\">-year time frame<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the ERA still couldn&rsquo;t reach the prerequisite numbers after a three-year extension took the deadline to 1982.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the ERA did eventually get those last three states needed &mdash; but between 2017 and 2020,&nbsp;<em>decades&nbsp;<\/em>after the extended deadline.<\/p>\n<p>The legal issues are obvious.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, a senior official told the WSJ that &ldquo;Biden was stating an opinion that the amendment had been ratified.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&hellip; What?<\/p>\n<p>So not only is Biden&rsquo;s proclamation legally dubious, but it&rsquo;s also just &ldquo;an opinion&rdquo;?<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration, ladies and gentlemen: Where &ldquo;opinions&rdquo; are presented as the &ldquo;law of the land.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Pouring a bit of salt into the wound, the Journal noted: &ldquo;It wasn&rsquo;t immediately clear if Biden&rsquo;s statement had any legal and practical weight.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Before any screeching leftists want to call Republicans opposed to the ERA as &ldquo;sexists,&rdquo; you should know that there are&nbsp;<em>already&nbsp;<\/em>constitutional provisions and federal statutes that bar any form of discrimination based on sex.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, as the Journal noted, &ldquo;conservative groups have said ratification of the ERA could result in unintended consequences, such as whether jails, bathrooms and locker rooms in public buildings like schools could remain limited to one sex.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Biden&rsquo;s Friday announcement isn&rsquo;t just classic government overreach &mdash; it&rsquo;s opening a whole can of worms when&nbsp;<em>none of this&nbsp;<\/em>will be his problem in about three days.<\/p>\n<p>The WSJ further explained: &ldquo;The Constitution can be amended through a convention of the states, which has never occurred, or through resolutions passed by two-thirds votes of the House and Senate and then approved by three-fourths of the states.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Given that Republicans own both the House and Senate, it seems unlikely that that prerequisite could be fulfilled before getting 38 state approvals (which, in fairness, the ERA does technically have right now.)<\/p>\n<p>Look, it just can&rsquo;t be stressed enough how destructive and nonchalant Biden has been during the final stretch of his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>He&rsquo;s pushing for mass <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-announces-unprecedented-mass-sentence-commutation-2500-criminals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commutations<\/a>, mass student debt cancellations, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/corrupt-end-biden-admin-sues-elon-6-days-trump-throws-ears\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-parting-gift-trump-throws-wrench-deportation-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">manner<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-sneaks-another-massive-spending-package-11-days-trump-enters-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chicanery<\/a> before he leaves office. It&rsquo;s despicable and the sort of behavior you&rsquo;d expect from a tyrant, not the &ldquo;adult in the room.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Biden has tarnished his already-dirty legacy with this final stretch, and people are all too eager to call him out on it.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sir, this is not how the Constitution works.
