Friday&rsquo;s move gives Biden more pardons and commuted sentences than any other U.S. president.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3226193\/which-biden-executive-orders-first-to-go-trump\/\"><strong>HERE&rsquo;S WHICH BIDEN EXECUTIVE ORDERS WILL BE THE FIRST TO GO UNDER TRUMP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Joe Biden claimed that the nonviolent offenders affected by Friday&rsquo;s decision were &ldquo;serving disproportionately long sentences&nbsp;compared to the sentences they would receive today under current law, policy, and practice.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;With this action, I have now issued more individual pardons and commutations than any president in U.S. history,&rdquo; the president wrote. &ldquo;I am proud of my record on clemency and will continue to review additional commutations and pardons.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden had previously hinted that he was considering issuing preemptive pardons for former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, who helped lead the now-disbanded House Jan. 6 committee, and other perceived political enemies of President-elect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\">Donald Trump<\/a>. Why should I pardon myself? No, I have no contemplation of pardoning myself.
