FBI Director Christopher Wray announced he would resign by the time of President-elect Donald Trump&rsquo;s inauguration on Monday, Jan. 20. Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3247547\/kash-patel-who-he-is-why-divisive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">has tapped<\/a> Kash Patel to replace him.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Diversity and Inclusion was created in 2012 &ldquo;to provide guidance and implement programs that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace that allows all employees to succeed and advance,&rdquo; according to the FBI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/about\/diversity-and-inclusion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Wray, who has served as director since 2017, has a quote on the page endorsing the office.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;One of the FBI&rsquo;s priority initiatives is to build a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive workforce,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;We all make better decisions when we have the benefit of different perspectives.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Republicans in Congress have generally opposed DEI practices, which <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">prioritize hiring people<\/a> from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds. Sen.
