Oh.&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/nQGfegSMsg\">pic.twitter.com\/nQGfegSMsg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Breaking911 (@Breaking911) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Breaking911\/status\/1879611008911917398?\">January 15, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>  But that is a legitimate question, especially given the timing of the deal.<\/p>\n<p>In the weeks after Trump won the election and started demanding a ceasefire in no uncertain terms, his newly appointed Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, started taking part in the negotiations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/arab-official-trump-envoy-swayed-netanyahu-more-in-one-meeting-than-biden-did-all-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Times of Israel<\/a>, which is based in Jerusalem, reported that two Arab leaders believe Witkoff was able to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/arab-officials-say-trumps-team-hostage-deal-single-meeting-biden-admin-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">make more progress<\/a> with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a single meeting than the Biden team was able to make in over a year.<\/p>\n<p>Harris issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2025\/01\/15\/statement-from-vice-president-kamala-harris-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> announcing the deal on Wednesday, but she said that the ceasefire happened &ldquo;thanks to the leadership of President Joe Biden.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>She also used personal pronouns throughout the statement, implying that she also had a crucial role in striking the agreement. &ldquo;I will never stop working to achieve a future of greater peace, dignity, and security for all people in the region,&rdquo; she declared.<\/p>\n<p>But Trump had quite a different read of the situation.<\/p>\n<p>The incoming commander-in-chief said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/113833531533520804\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> posted on  that the &ldquo;EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,&rdquo; Trump wrote.<\/p>\n<p>He also vowed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/golf-partner-details-trumps-instant-reaction-hearing-shots-wish-whole-country-witnessed-happened\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Witkoff<\/a> would work closely with Israel and other allies to ensure that &ldquo;Gaza NEVER again becomes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/crenshaw-takes-on-no-more-endless-wars-crowd-they-prefer-to-live-in-a-dream-world\/\" title=\"Crenshaw Takes On \u2018No More Endless Wars\u2019 Crowd: \u2018They Prefer To Live In A Dream World\u2019\">terrorist safe haven<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We will continue promoting PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH throughout the region, as we build upon the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the Historic Abraham Accords,&rdquo;
