It&rsquo;s a prosecutor&rsquo;s job to start with a crime and look for a name, correct?&rdquo; Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island asked Bondi in his most law school professorial tone as she appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The senator could have just as well stated, &ldquo;You better not do to Democrats what we&rsquo;ve done to Republicans these last several years.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/msnbc-personalities-panic-new-attorney-general-nominee-pam-bondi-worse-matt-gaetz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bondi<\/a> responded to Whitehouse, &ldquo;Senator, I think that is the whole problem with the weaponization we have seen the last four years, and what&rsquo;s been happening to Donald Trump. That&rsquo;s what most fair-minded Americans want because the same justice system that has been weaponized by the Democrats against Republicans could be turned right back on them.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Harvard Law School professor emeritus<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/going-convictions-donald-trump-election-alan-dershowitz-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Alan Dershowitz<\/a> explained during Trump&rsquo;s first term the problem with weaponizing the DOJ after the agency appointed former FBI director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/no-collusion-trump-lashes-robert-mueller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert Mueller<\/a> in May 2017 to investigate the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-taking-regeneron-drug-remdesivir-therapy-for-coronavirus-diagnosis-ex-wh-doctor-explains\/\" title=\"Trump taking Regeneron drug, Remdesivir therapy for coronavirus diagnosis: ex-WH doctor explains\">president&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s campaign&rsquo;s alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 race.<\/p>\n<p>Dershowitz told then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson, &ldquo;When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.historytoday.com\/archive\/months-past\/lavrenti-beria-executed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lavrentiy Beria<\/a> met with [Soviet dictator Joseph] Stalin he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordeagle.com\/2018\/05\/09\/show-me-the-man-and-ill-show-you-the-crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> to Stalin, &lsquo;Show me the man and I&rsquo;ll find you the crime.&rsquo; And that&rsquo;s what my friends, my liberal Democrat friends are doing.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They&rsquo;re falling all over themselves trying to find a statute that they can expand and they can apply only to Donald Trump, and then they&rsquo;re going to try to bury the statute and put it back in its crypt,&rdquo; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And what you do to Donald Trump today becomes a precedent and can be used against Democrats, independents or anybody in the future. His crimes? Questioning the integrity of the 2020 election (which <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/americans-faith-election-integrity-drops-poll\/story?id=82069876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">80 percent of Americans<\/a> had at least some level of concern about) and allegedly mishandling classified documents, a crime for which the same DOJ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/special-counsel-hur-devastates-biden-house-testimony-president-willfully-retained-classified-materials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refused to prosecute<\/a> Biden for.<\/p>\n<p>Not only did the Biden DOJ try to put Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, in jail, the agency succeeded in imprisoning his former White House aides <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/steve-bannon-released-prison-week-election-immediately-gets-back-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steve Bannon<\/a> and Peter Navarro, simply because they would not cooperate with Nancy Pelosi&rsquo;s politically driven, one-sided, sham of a January 6 investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Bondi&rsquo;s pledge during her opening statement Wednesday should be music to the ears of every liberty- and justice-loving American.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PamBondi?\">@PamBondi<\/a>: &ldquo;If confirmed, I will fight every day to restore confidence and integrity to the Department of Justice and each of its components.
