He reported that in the past week alone,\u200b 39 arrests were made, \u200dprimarily targeting those \u200bbreaching the county&#8217;s\u200d curfew. We&rsquo;re all on the same page, we&rsquo;re making sure we&rsquo;re sending the message, &lsquo;You commit a crime here related to these fires, you are going to be held accountable.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; max-width: 640px; max-height: 360px; min-width: 320px; min-height: 180px; overflow: hidden;\">\n<div style=\"position: relative; width: 100%; padding-top: 56.25%;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/share.grabien.com\/share.php?id=2755352&amp;userid=11311&amp;loginid=9421&amp;playercolor=%23000000&amp;playersize=auto&amp;code=dd26b19d2f4798ed48d2f91b23401155\" style=\"position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0px;\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The sheriff was asked about the demographics of the arrests, to which he stated none of the people arrested &ldquo;live in the impacted areas.&rdquo; When pressed if the looters were possibly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/illegal-immigrants\/\" title=\"\">illegal immigrants<\/a>, Luna only responded that he had &ldquo;no idea&rdquo; but that this is &ldquo;not a question that we&rsquo;re asking.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/los-angeles-wildfires-southern-california-c5826e0ab8db965cb2814132ff54ee6f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">a total of 24 people have died<\/a> in the Los Angeles area following the wildfires, with at least another 16 reported as missing. Eight of these deaths are suspected to have been from the Palisades fire, while 16 have been attributed to the Eaton Fire.<\/p>\n<p>President-elect Donald Trump is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3285191\/trump-to-visit-los-angeles-survey-wildfire-damage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">reportedly planning a visit to California<\/a> to observe the damage from the wildfires, which have burned down thousands of homes.
