The ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">legal issues<\/a>\u200c surrounding Hunter have \u2063negatively impacted Joe Biden&#8217;s political prospects, with Weiss\u2064 cautioning against politicizing the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">legal matters involving family members<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<section> \t\t\t\t<script>console.log(\"ad slot (AC1)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC1)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC2)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC3)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC4)\")<\/script><\/p>\n<p>With just about a week left of his presidency, Joe Biden &mdash; and his son, Hunter Biden &mdash; are getting excoriated again.<\/p>\n<p>But this lambasting isn&rsquo;t in the court of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-scott-jennings-unleashes-hunter-biden-pardon-cnn-commentator-tried-defend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-hunter-biden-case-shreds-joe-biden-pardon-claims-says-president-attempting-rewrite-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">legal<\/a> opinion, as they have been recently.<\/p>\n<p>This is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/25486022-weiss-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">coming straight<\/a> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-debate-performance-renews-spotlight-on-hur-tapes-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Biden debate performance renews spotlight on Hur tapes - Washington Examiner\">special counsel&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s office at the United States Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Special Counsel David Weiss published a blistering letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland dated Friday (the letter itself became public Monday), outlining a number of issues Weiss uncovered.<\/p>\n<p>In short, Weiss vehemently disagreed with the elder Biden&rsquo;s notion that the charges against his son were politically motivated.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The president&rsquo;s characterizations are incorrect based on the facts in this case, and on a more fundamental level, they are wrong,&rdquo; Weiss wrote in his report, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2025\/01\/14\/hunter-biden-report-special-counsel-david-weiss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden was hardly the only Biden that Weiss saw fit to skewer.<\/p>\n<p>One of Weiss&rsquo; greater, overarching points about Hunter Biden was, simply put, &ldquo;The first son simply knows better, addictions or no.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As a well-educated lawyer and businessman, Mr. Biden consciously and willfully chose not to pay at least $1.4 million in taxes over a four-year period,&rdquo; Weiss wrote, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/weiss-report-hunters-drug-use-cant-explain-away-not-paying-taxes-money-earned-last-name\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>. &ldquo;From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Biden received more than $7 million in total gross income, including approximately $1.5 million in 2016, $2.3 million in 2017, $2.1 million in 2018, $1 million in 2019 and $188,000 from January through October 15, 2020.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Weiss added: &ldquo;These are not &lsquo;inconsequential&rsquo; or &lsquo;technical&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-amid-tax-troubles-hunter-biden-is-living-in-a-malibu-mansion-with-secret-service-protection\/\" title=\"REPORT: Amid Tax Troubles, Hunter Biden Is Living In A Malibu Mansion With Secret Service Protection\">tax code violations<\/a>. Nor can Mr. Biden&rsquo;s conduct be explained away by his drug use-most glaringly, Mr. Biden filed his false 2018 return, in which he deliberately underreported his income to lower his tax liability, in February 2020, approximately eight months after he had regained his sobriety.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Therefore, the prosecution of Mr. Biden was warranted given the nature and seriousness of his tax crimes.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Weiss wasn&rsquo;t finished harpooning Hunter Biden&rsquo;s &ldquo;business ventures&rdquo;: &ldquo;Mr. Biden made this money by using his last name and connections to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/weiss-slams-biden-after-hunter-escapes-most-serious-charges\/\" title=\"Weiss Slams Biden After Hunter Escapes Most Serious Charges\">secure lucrative business opportunities<\/a>, such as a board seat at a Ukrainian industrial conglomerate, Burisma Holdings Limited, and a joint venture with individuals associated with a Chinese energy conglomerate.
