the order claimed.<\/p>\n<p>The agency also insisted that &ldquo;every individual processed by the Department of Homeland Security goes through rigorous national security and public safety vetting during the original application process and again during re-registration.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>For the Venezuela extension, the Department of Homeland Security instead <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2025\/01\/10\/dhs-extend-temporary-protected-status-venezuela\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cited<\/a> &ldquo;political and economic crises under the inhumane [Nicol&aacute;s] Maduro regime.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>DHS noted that the communist dictator has overseen &ldquo;high levels of crime and violence, impacting access to food, medicine, healthcare, water, electricity, and fuel.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainians can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2025\/01\/10\/dhs-extend-temporary-protected-status-ukraine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stay<\/a> because of the &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-harris-admin-announces-protected-status-for-immigrants-from-country-plagued-by-islamic-terrorism\/\" title=\"Biden-Harris Admin Announces Protected Status for Immigrants from Country Plagued by Islamic Terrorism\">ongoing armed conflict&#038;rdquo<\/a>; against Russia, while the Sudanese can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2025\/01\/10\/dhs-extend-temporary-protected-status-sudan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stay<\/a> because of &ldquo;continued political instability that has triggered human rights abuses, including direct attacks on civilians.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Democratic officials have previously justified massive influxes of immigrants under such pretenses, claiming that the United States is duty-bound to accept thousands, if not millions, of people who happen to be coming from troubled home countries.<\/p>\n<p>But the American people learned the hard way over the past four years that such a plan has plenty of consequences.<\/p>\n<p>To name just a few, there are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/shocker-majority-senate-dems-join-gop-vote-advance-laken-riley-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">murders<\/a>, all manner of horrific sexual assault and other crimes, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-time-take-back-immigrants-trump-poised-run-roughshod-mexico-second-term\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economic<\/a> consequences of reduced wages and higher housing expenses, and the constantly looming threat of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ex-cia-officers-haunting-warning-comes-focus-new-orleans-terrorism-1000-man-mass-attack-homeland-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">terrorism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And that says nothing about the general drain on resources that a mass influx of people &mdash; migrants or not &mdash; can bring.<\/p>\n<p>That is why the American people elected Trump. He has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-announces-going-mass-deportation-effort-national-emergency-declaration-military-involvement-works\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clear mandate<\/a> to close the border and stop the straining of our resources to deal with an immigration crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Biden, despite his nominal adherence to democracy, is brazenly undermining that mandate from the people in his last few weeks as commander-in-chief.<\/p>\n<p>He may be able to keep these individuals in the country for now.
