Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted (R-OH) is expected to be appointed by DeWine as the next senator from Ohio. <\/p>\n<p>In November, voters elected Vance and President-elect Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) by a 312 to 226 electoral vote margin. The Trump-Vance ticket won the popular vote 77.3 million votes to Harris&rsquo;s 75 million votes.<\/p>\n<p>Trump chose Vance as his running mate in July as the Republican National Convention was set to start.
