As public polls showed Biden lagging, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">party\u200d officials allegedly coordinated efforts<\/a> to force him out, using political tactics that some have likened to a coup.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst media speculation and mounting pressure, Biden remained in the race despite uncertainties concerning his stamina to\u2062 serve another term. Reports suggest that Democratic leadership exploited the 25th Amendment as a means of coercion regarding \u2064the vice-presidential nomination for Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Following his\u2063 exit from the race, Biden&#8217;s future political endeavors remain\u2062 uncertain as he navigates the fallout of the events leading \u2064to his withdrawal.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>When USA Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2025\/01\/08\/exclusive-joe-biden-interview-donald-trump-election\/77378693007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> President Joe Biden if he thinks he could have defeated President-elect Donald Trump, the president replied, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s presumptuous to say that, but I think yes.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While Biden would not have likely won &mdash; considering Trump&rsquo;s victory in the popular vote and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2024\/11\/05\/us\/elections\/results-president.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sweep<\/a> of all seven swing states &mdash; the president&rsquo;s comment suggests he thinks he stood a better chance at winning than Vice President Kamala Harris, who usurped the nomination from him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Harris, after all, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/25\/joe-biden-dropped-out-to-save-democrats-not-democracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">circumvented<\/a> the primary process to install herself in Biden&rsquo;s place as the Democrat Party&rsquo;s presidential nominee. She still lost, despite Biden&rsquo;s nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/biden-approval-rating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">57% disapproval<\/a> rate. But Biden&rsquo;s suggestion that he could have won suggests he was reluctant to step down &mdash; and recalls the &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/22\/the-ousting-of-biden-was-a-textbook-coup-detat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">textbook coup d&rsquo;&eacute;tat<\/a>&rdquo; of July 2024.<\/p>\n<h2>Ousting The President<\/h2>\n<p>While most corporate media failed to ask questions about the events that led to Biden dropping out, the polls were clear. He was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/07\/21\/why-biden-dropped-out-00170106#:~:text=%E2%80%9CNancy%20made%20clear%20that%20they,to%20be%20the%20hard%20way.%E2%80%9D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">losing ground<\/a> both in battleground states and in blue states, according to Politico. So Democrat Party bosses decided to ditch him.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Nancy Pelosi dumped him. They all dumped him,&rdquo; former President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/democrats-forced-joe-biden-to-drop-out-how-did-they-do-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">previously said<\/a> in a press call attended by The Federalist. &ldquo;They said, &lsquo;Either you get out nice or we&rsquo;re going to go after you.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>For weeks, top Democrats pressured Biden to drop out, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/22\/us-news\/top-dems-threatened-to-remove-biden-unless-he-resigned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Post<\/a>. &ldquo;Nancy made clear that they could do this the easy way or the hard way,&rdquo; one Democrat insider told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/07\/21\/why-biden-dropped-out-00170106#:~:text=%E2%80%9CNancy%20made%20clear%20that%20they,to%20be%20the%20hard%20way.%E2%80%9D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Biden would not withdraw from the race &mdash; even though when USA Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2025\/01\/08\/exclusive-joe-biden-interview-donald-trump-election\/77378693007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> recently if the president had enough physical strength to serve another four years, he said &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t know.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Top Democrats set him up to fail in his debate against Trump, in hopes of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/22\/us-news\/top-dems-threatened-to-remove-biden-unless-he-resigned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sinking<\/a> his campaign for good. Legacy media even <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/09\/biden-debate-debacle-shows-how-democrats-take-their-cues-from-legacy-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">turned against<\/a> him after the debate. But Biden still stayed in the race.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So party bosses allegedly weaponized the 25th Amendment, threatening to eject Biden from office unless he gave Harris the nomination, the New York Post reported. As The Federalist&rsquo;s Margot Cleveland <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/22\/bidens-drop-out-leaves-no-doubt-its-25th-amendment-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> at the time, Biden obviously qualified for the 25th Amendment &mdash; but instead of applying the law as intended, Democrat leadership used it as blackmail.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They gave him a chance, and they said, &lsquo;If you don&rsquo;t get out now we&rsquo;re going to go after you,&rsquo;&rdquo; Trump said in the previous press call. &ldquo;And that was it. He got out.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>Biding His Time<\/h2>\n<p>Since leaving the race, Biden has been serving the rest of his time with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/10\/04\/joe-biden-presidency-2024-election\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">few<\/a> public appearances. But he and First Lady Jill Biden have made a series of moves suggesting contempt for Harris and her silent coup.<\/p>\n<p>Biden donned a Trump hat during a Sept. 11 visit to Pennsylvania. A resident took off his red Trump cap and handed it to Biden, and after others urged him, the president placed it on his head. &ldquo;Just remember &mdash; no eating dogs and cats,&rdquo; he said. His handlers spun this as a &ldquo;9\/11 unity gesture,&rdquo; though Biden apparently did this in jest. While going to vote on election day, Jill Biden dressed in bright red &mdash; leading some to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/toddstarnes\/status\/1853928433677475995\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">question<\/a> whether she was signaling support for Trump instead of Harris. The same night, the president was conspicuously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2024\/nov\/5\/joe-biden-attend-kamala-harris-election-watch-part\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">absent<\/a> from Harris&rsquo; watch party.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Jill Biden has apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nypost\/status\/1866139758176440523\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ignored<\/a> the vice president multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MrAndyNgo\/status\/1856419199679332551\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">times<\/a> at public events. And last month, she apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1866936128886149321\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mocked<\/a> Harris &mdash; imitating her mindless speech and flippant repetition of buzzwords like &ldquo;joy.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I hope that you all feel that sense of, you know, peace and light. And that just for a moment, when you leave here today, I don&rsquo;t know &mdash; that you feel a little sense of joy. I think we all need to feel joy now, during this time of the season, just during this time,&rdquo; Jill Biden said to laughter. &ldquo;You&rsquo;re all reading into that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>Additionally, Harris&rsquo; staffers have frequently been reported to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/10\/13\/kamala-harris-biden-campaign-tension\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">conflict<\/a> with the Biden administration &mdash; even <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/10\/13\/us-news\/harris-staffers-blaming-biden-admin-for-not-helping-campaignds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blaming<\/a> Biden&rsquo;s team for not helping her campaign enough, according to the New York Post.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Taken together, these instances imply the Bidens may be fed up with Harris.
