Jared Moskowitz told the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmaker said that his party is trying to address the election loss by acknowledging that they were out of touch with voters on particularly important matters, like immigration.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;On some of these issues, we were to the left of the American people,&rdquo; he admitted.<\/p>\n<p>Several Democrats support the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/less-25-percent-dems-vote-laken-riley-act-side-rapists-murderers-instead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laken Riley Act<\/a>, an immigration reform bill that passed the House on Tuesday: 48 Democrats in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-votes-to-hold-bannon-in-contempt\/\" title=\"House votes to hold Bannon in contempt\">lower chamber voted<\/a> for the bill, an increase of 11 votes from that faction during the last Congress, according to Punchbowl.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We should pursue every opportunity around border security and immigration reform,&rdquo; Ohio Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman told the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s number one, and number two is getting costs down,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>As the bill advances, Michigan Democratic Sen. Gary Peters, Pennsylvania Sen.
