MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump Jr. posted several photos and videos from his trip, including a moment in which his father spoke to a small gathering of pro-Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2316972\/denmark-approves-us-consulate-after-spat-over-trumps-offer-to-buy-greenland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Greenlandic citizens<\/a> over the phone.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I just want to say it&rsquo;s a very special place. It needs security for itself, but it also needs security very much for the world. Our country needs it, and the whole world needs it &mdash; you&rsquo;re so strategically located.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;re gonna treat you well,&rdquo; he added. &ldquo;You know that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Erik Jensen, chairman of the Siumut party in Greenland&rsquo;s parliament, said there were no plans to meet with Trump Jr. during his visit.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I can confirm that I have not planned to meet with him,&rdquo; Jensen told the Greenlandic newspaper <em>Sermitsiaq<\/em>. &ldquo;I say it again that Greenland is not for sale and never will be.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The party chairman was not hostile to the visit, however, welcoming the interest shown in his country.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Everyone is welcome to visit our country, including Trump. When the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-should-prioritize-middle-class-tax-relief-over-loopholes-that-benefit-democrats-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Trump should prioritize middle class tax relief over loopholes that benefit Democrats - Washington Examiner\">future president&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s son, who is also his own adviser, shows interest in our country, it means that Greenland is serious,&rdquo; Jensen continued.<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump has made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3268657\/trump-focuses-foreign-policy-plans-canada-panama-greenland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">purchasing Greenland<\/a> a prominent goal of his incoming administration.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity,&rdquo; Trump said via Truth Social last month.<\/p>\n<p>Greenlandic Prime Minister M&uacute;te Egede has consistently rebuked any notions that the U.S. can buy the island, replying to Trump: &ldquo;Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale.
