Rodriguez, \u2064who was 30 years old at the time of\u2063 her death, \u2062was last seen on January 23, 1991, at\u2062 her daughter\u2019s birthday party. Her body was discovered on August 25, 1991, partially concealed by a wooden board with \u2062her\u2062 ankles tied.<\/p>\n<p>Initial investigations led to the arrest of four suspects shortly after the finding of \u200dher body. Katz said. &ldquo;Though justice was served, the family went 33 long years without any answers about their loved one.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Thanks to our partners at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/officials-concerned-heightened-threats-new-years-festivities-hundreds-brand-new-nypd-officers-called\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYPD<\/a> and the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, we have now provided those crucial details, which I hope brings a measure of solace.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This case is a prime example of the determination of my Cold Case Unit in identifying victims and solving the borough&rsquo;s oldest, most challenging homicides,&rdquo; Katz said.<\/p>\n<p>The day of the murder, the four men approached Rodriquez somehow getting her into their car.<\/p>\n<p>During the drive, two of the men tied her up, according to Katz.<\/p>\n<p>At some point, they pushed Rodriquez out of the vehicle before one of them hit her on the head with a big metal flashlight, killing her before driving away.<\/p>\n<p>The men returned two weeks later to conceal the body.<\/p>\n<p>When police discovered the corpse, they were unable to identify it because of its severe decomposition.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&rsquo;t until April 2024 that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-missouri-man-charged-1993-slaying-woman-dna-match\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DNA<\/a> Labs International ran advanced testing on the skeletal remains.<\/p>\n<p>Working with NYPD&rsquo;s Investigative Genealogy Squad, the body was finally identified.<\/p>\n<p>As for the four assailants, one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/colorado-woman-gets-only-probation-for-repeatedly-sexually-assaulting-a-minor\/\" title=\"Colorado Woman Gets Only Probation For Repeatedly Sexually Assaulting A Minor\">man pleaded guilty<\/a> to manslaughter in the first degree in September 1992. He was released from prison in 2009, and his parole ended in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>In October 1992, two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/alt-right-martial-artists-challenge-anti-riot-law-on-first-amendment-grounds\/\" title=\"Alt-Right Martial Artists Challenge Anti-Riot Law on First Amendment Grounds\">men pleaded guilty<\/a> to reckless endangerment in the first degree. They were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pardoning-evil-convict-biden-commuted-selling-teens-profit-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released from prison<\/a> in 1996, with their parole ending in April 1998.<\/p>\n<p>In February 1993, the fourth man pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution.
