The polling agency described the results as mixed, but they showed very positive results for the issues Trump hit on during his successful third try at the presidency.<\/p>\n<p>On issues such as improving race relations and healthcare to enhancing the environment, Gallup said Americans had less faith in Trump. But the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-gifts-trump-a-post-election-prize-to-kick-start-monumental-deportation-effort\/\" title=\"Texas Gifts Trump a Post-Election Prize to Kick-Start Monumental Deportation Effort\">incoming 47th president<\/a> never put those issues on his list of major promises.<\/p>\n<p>On eight key issues, all of which Trump pushed during his campaign against Biden and then Vice President Kamala Harris, majorities believe he will succeed. They are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Control illegal immigration at 68%.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce unemployment, 60%.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping the U.S. safe from terrorism, 60%.<\/li>\n<li>Improving the economy, 58%.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping the nation out of war, 55%.<\/li>\n<li>Cutting taxes, 54%.<\/li>\n<li>Reducing crime, 51%.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing respect for America, 50%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Areas the nation does not expect him to succeed in are those largely promoted by Democrats and liberals.<\/p>\n<p>However, Gallup found one issue that Trump has focused on and that the public believes he will lose &mdash; draining the swamp. The polling outfit said that just 47% believe that Trump will be able to improve the way government works.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/washington-secrets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEE THE LATEST POLITICAL NEWS AND BUZZ FROM WASHINGTON SECRETS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That is despite Trump&rsquo;s plan to create a &ldquo;Department of Government Efficiency,&rdquo; headed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.<\/p>\n<p>Gallup said that Americans &ldquo;have notably high expectations for him with respect to controlling illegal immigration and reducing crime &mdash; both relative to their expectations for him on other issues and historically. More Americans anticipate he&rsquo;ll succeed in these domains than did so for any other evaluated president.
