Breen is suing her former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/doctors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">doctors<\/a> for not vetting her properly before her transgender surgery, in which they performed a double mastectomy on her at the age of 14.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;At the time of my mastectomy, I had no idea really what I was doing,&rdquo; Breen said on Fox News&rsquo;s <em>Hannity<\/em> on Monday. &ldquo;So, for me personally, when I <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/detransitioners-flood-social-media-with-testimony-photos-the-darkest-time-in-my-life\/\" title=\"DeTransitioners Flood Social Media With Testimony, Photos: \u2018The Darkest Time In My Life\u2019\">started taking testosterone<\/a>, I sort of started feeling more anxiety than I had ever felt in my entire life. But it wasn&rsquo;t until after my surgery, when my dose of testosterone was upped, that I started experiencing psychosis and full audio and visual hallucinations, which were somewhat linked to the high dosage, which once I went off the dosage, all these symptoms stopped.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; max-width: 640px; max-height: 360px; min-width: 320px; min-height: 180px; overflow: hidden;\">\n<div style=\"position: relative; width: 100%; padding-top: 56.25%;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/share.grabien.com\/share.php?id=2739636&amp;userid=11311&amp;loginid=10455&amp;playercolor=%23000000&amp;playersize=auto&amp;code=56872288c6c40bf00de161b37cb892df\" style=\"position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0px;\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Even with these side effects, Breen felt her mental health was brushed aside, and doctors instead encouraged her to keep taking testosterone. Even therapists only ever affirmed Breen&rsquo;s preferred gender.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Children&rsquo;s Hospital Los Angeles issued a statement responding to Breen&rsquo;s lawsuit. According to the hospital, it has &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/transgender-youth-doctor-faces-historic-lawsuit-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Transgender youth doctor faces historic lawsuit - Washington Examiner\">provided high quality<\/a>, age appropriate medically necessary care for youth and adults and their families for more than 30 years.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has her own legislation in the works, the Protect Children&rsquo;s Innocence Act, which would make it a felony to perform surgeries or gender-affirming care on anyone under the age of 18. It remains at a standstill after the act was introduced in March 2023.
