Jean Carroll<\/a> and defaming her, affirming the $5 million judgment against him.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit ruled that Trump failed to show any errors in the trial court&rsquo;s decisions that would warrant overturning the verdict or granting a new trial. &ldquo;Mr. Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings,&rdquo; the three<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/alabama-petitions-supreme-court-to-halt-lower-court-ruling-on-gop-drawn-voting-map\/\" title=\"Alabama seeks Supreme Court intervention to stop lower court ruling on GOP-drawn voting map.\">-judge panel concluded<\/a> in its unsigned <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.ca2.60504\/gov.uscourts.ca2.60504.176.1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">opinion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Columnist E. Carroll also secured an $83 million defamation judgment in a separate trial over Trump&rsquo;s earlier denials during his presidency. Trump is appealing that case as well.<\/p>\n<p>During the appeal, Trump&rsquo;s legal team argued the district court erred by admitting testimony from other women who alleged sexual misconduct by Trump and the infamous &ldquo;Access Hollywood&rdquo; tape, where Trump described groping women without consent. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/saudi-arabia-releases-womens-rights-activist-family-says-its-not-yet-freedom\/\" title=\"Saudi Arabia Releases Women\u2019s Rights Activist; Family Says It\u2019s Not Yet \u2018Freedom\u2019\">appeals court rejected<\/a> these arguments, affirming the trial court&rsquo;s rulings.<\/p>\n<p>The decision keeps intact a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oversight-groups-discover-no-confirmed-fraud-or-misuse-of-ukraine-aid-officials-testify\/\" title=\"Oversight Groups Discover No Confirmed Fraud or Misuse of Ukraine Aid, Officials Testify\">significant legal finding<\/a> against Trump as he prepares to assume the presidency in January 2025.
