The hospital \u2062has initiated a thorough internal inquiry, \u2063notified families, and contacted appropriate \u2064regulatory authorities.<\/p>\n<p>As a precautionary measure, the hospital has implemented various safety protocols, including mandatory supplemental training for NICU caregivers and enhanced security measures. So far during our review of the videos, no misconduct or accidental actions have been found,&rdquo; the statement noted. &ldquo;The safety of our NICU babies is our highest priority and we are actively working to pursue additional precautions to prevent any future incidents.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Henrico Police were brought in to help with examining the incident, per a report from <a href=\"https:\/\/foxrichmond.com\/news\/local\/henrico-doctors-hospital-pauses-nicu-admissions-after-babies-found-with-fractures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WRLH-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Henrico Police have been made aware of an internal investigation involving Henrico Doctors&rsquo; Hospital&rsquo;s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,&rdquo; the agency said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Detectives within Henrico Police&rsquo;s Special Victims Unit have been assigned to follow up and investigate to determine if there are any criminal violations that have occurred.
