Yet, these are risks every time we step out into the world. We avoid dangerous situations where an armed individual could do us harm. We look both ways before crossing the street. We minimize the risk but still live.

But this bowling debacle makes it clear that risk minimization can pretty easily devolve into overkill manifesting as paranoia.

One could argue the “COVID cautious” are living, but is it how anyone would want to live indefinitely? If this is what bowling looks like, how do these people go to a grocery store, visit family, or eat at a restaurant?

Perhaps they avoid all of those things completely.

This ultimately comes down to meaning and purpose.

Whether it be lingering paranoia from the pandemic, transgenderism, or championing any other leftist cause, the activist always seem to lack meaning and fulfillment in a higher role.

Simply put, they need a reason to feel important because they don’t have one otherwise.

For the “COVID cautious” the real fear is the abyss of meaninglessness they may find themselves in if they just moved on.

       * Name

       *

      * Message

* All fields are required.

Success!

       function firefly_sc() { if( typeof window.captchaPublicKey==typeof undefined ){ console.error('window.captchaPublicKey is not defined'); } grecaptcha.execute( window.captchaPublicKey, { action: 'submit_correction' } ).then( function( token ) { var opts={ action: 'firefly_sc_submit', name: document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name="name"]' ).value, : document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name=""]' ).value, message: document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name="message"]' ).value, post_id: firefly_post_id, cap_token: token } var inputs=[ 'name', '', 'message' ]; for( var i=0; i <inputs.length; i++ ) if( ! Even four years after the initial outbreak and with the CDC declaring an end to the “Public Health Emergency,” there are still excessively worried Americans who continue to exhibit strange and paranoid behaviors that many have come to recognize since 2020. Recently, political commentator LibsofTikTok shared a video on X showcasing this “COVID cautious” mentality during a bowling event in Oregon.

In the video, a group of cautious individuals rented out a bowling alley, mandated masks for everyone including staff, set up air purifiers, and kept children separated from adults. The narrator described their experience at Kingpins in Portland as enjoyable despite these precautions. While such behavior might have seemed unusual at any point over the past few years, it is particularly striking given its recent occurrence.

The ongoing fear surrounding COVID-19 has significantly impacted those who closely follow health guidelines from organizations like the CDC and WHO. Although questions about COVID-related deaths persist, no one desires such risks—similar to how we avoid dangerous situations in daily life.

This scenario raises questions about how these “COVID cautious” individuals navigate everyday activities like grocery shopping or dining out; they may be avoiding them altogether. Ultimately, this reflects deeper issues of meaning and purpose among those who cling to such fears—suggesting that their need for significance stems from feelings of emptiness if they were to move on from these anxieties

[33651
16403,4127,8390
post-2384103","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-the-western-journal","tag-bowling","tag-covid","tag-safety
["GET
