Not that you can&rsquo;t leverage being a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/who-is-trump-administration-special-envoy-to-the-middle-east-steve-witkoff-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Who is Trump administration Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff? - Washington Examiner\">successful real estate mogul<\/a> and reality TV star into putting bigger political ideas into cultural circulation &mdash; or into two non-consecutive terms as U.S. president, if you&rsquo;re canny enough &mdash; but we have an economic union with Canada called USMCA which serves us decently enough, having fixed several problems with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bernie-says-trumps-nafta-replacement-better-promises-wont-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North American Free Trade Agreement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, when part of the contretemps between Canada and the United States involves border security issues &mdash; opening a second front in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ron-desantis-just-signed-biden-border-crisis-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden border crisis<\/a> &mdash; why on earth would we think of a European Union-style border\/passport relationship with Ottawa? (This is to say nothing of two senators from Canada in our upper chamber. That being said, given how much the Canadians <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/canadian-prime-minister-justin-trudeau-considers-dramatic-resignation-situation-spirals-control-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apparently loathe Trudeau right now<\/a>, they may well end up being Republicans after all.)<\/p>\n<p>That being said, how many other politicians could change the nature of the U.S.-Canada relationship simply by pointing out the obvious: Geopolitically speaking, Canada is a massive, icy suburb of the United States &mdash; and Justin &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-justin-trudeaus-eye-rolling-correction-woman-uses-word-mankind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peoplekind<\/a>&rdquo; Trudeau trying to flex his muscles as he prepares <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pc.gc.ca\/apps\/dfhd\/page_fhbro_eng.aspx?id=2711\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">24 Sussex Drive<\/a> for Poilievre to take up residence is patently laughable.<\/p>\n<p>If he&rsquo;d tried to work with Trump on this, he&rsquo;d have one less embarrassment to live down when Canucks go to the polls, but nope: To use the rough parlance of our time, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alert-rep-mace-attacked-injured-pro-trans-man-us-capitol-will-need-medical-apparatus-recover-allegation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">messed around and subsequently found out<\/a>. Now, even Canadian Kevin O&rsquo;Leary is talking about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/canadian-heritage\/services\/anthem-canada.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his home and native land<\/a> being the 51st state.
