Matt Gaetz concerning accusations of sexual misconduct and illegal drug use.<\/p>\n<p>Gaetz is a former representative, who resigned after the announcement by President-elect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-trump-looks-reverence-choir-sings-jesus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> that Gaetz was his nominee for Attorney General; Gaetz has since withdrawn his name.<\/p>\n<p>Although <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/read-matt-gaetz-ethics-report-house-investigation\/?ftag=MSF0951a18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS<\/a> reported the <a href=\"https:\/\/ethics.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Committee-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Committee found<\/a> &ldquo;substantial evidence&rdquo; of the accusations against the former representative, we need to remember just who is making them.<\/p>\n<p>On Nov. 17, Federalist Editor-in-Chief Molly Hemingway <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/11\/17\/house-probe-into-matt-gaetz-relies-on-witnesses-doj-found-lacked-credibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brought attention<\/a> to the Committee&rsquo;s investigation being on dubious grounds &mdash; grounds that were so unreliable that President Joe Biden&rsquo;s DOJ did not proceed in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Among the witnesses the Ethics Committee relied on was Joel Greenberg.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Greenberg &mdash; a former tax collector in Seminole County, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/florida-announces-charges-connected-trump-assassination-attempt-stonewalled-feds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a> &mdash; is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence for lying about another politician having a sexual relationship with a minor.<\/p>\n<p>Hemingway noted, &ldquo;Greenberg also reportedly later attempted to frame his own attorney with pornographic images of children.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A 2023 lawsuit shed further light on Greenberg&rsquo;s behavior and two women who made claims against Gaetz. Greenberg alleged one of the women had sex with Gaetz while underage which her friend &mdash; the other women &mdash; corroborated.<\/p>\n<p>However, it was Greenberg who had an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-democrat-congressman-uses-national-guard-in-apparent-political-stunt-against-gop-member\/\" title=\"WATCH: Democrat Congressman Uses National Guard In Apparent \u2018Political Stunt\u2019 Against GOP Member\">inappropriate sexual relationship<\/a> with a 17-year-old girl while he was married, using a website where young women meet older men. Greenberg claimed he did not know she was underage.<\/p>\n<p>Greenberg reportedly &ldquo;became insistent&rdquo; Gaetz help him obtain a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pardoning-evil-convict-biden-commuted-selling-teens-profit-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pardon<\/a>. When he was denied, he &ldquo;said he would seek vengeance on those who refused to help him during his time of need,&rdquo; according to Hemingway.<\/p>\n<p>Greenberg started pointing the finger at Gaetz and other Republicans, accusing them of similar crimes.
