The photos were obtained by America First Legal (AFL) through an open records request \u2064from\u2063 the\u200c National Archives and Records Governance\u200c (NARA). They include images of \u2064Hunter\u2062 introducing his father to key figures from BHR Partners, a Chinese investment firm tied to the Communist government. \u200dThe House \u2062Oversight Commitee previously highlighted the\u2064 Bidens&#8217; \u200cconnections\u200d with BHR officials,suggesting that Joe Biden&#8217;s political influence was sought by these \u200cindividuals.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2064documents also reveal Hunter&#8217;s meetings with\u200d Chinese officials,including Xi Jinping. This acquisition\u2064 challenges Joe\u200d Biden&#8217;s \u200cprevious statements, where he denied interacting with Hunter&#8217;s business partners. AFL encountered difficulties in obtaining the photographs, which were initially set to be released just before the 2024 election but were delayed. The unearthed records also document Hunter meeting Chinese dictator Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n<p>Obtained by America First Legal (AFL) via open records request, the photographs from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) appear to show Hunter introducing his father to several Chinese members of BHR Partners, a Chinese investment firm with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2627684\/hunter-biden-still-listed-as-part-owner-of-chinese-firm-despite-divestment-claim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ties<\/a> to the country&rsquo;s Communist government.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-602966044\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As the New York Post previously <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/10\/26\/wh-spox-cant-say-if-hunter-biden-still-co-owns-firm-with-beijing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, Hunter &ldquo;cofounded BHR Partners in 2013 within weeks of joining then-Vice President Joe Biden aboard Air Force Two on an official trip to Beijing.&rdquo; The First Son reportedly &ldquo;held a 10% stake in BHR Partners at least through part of his father&rsquo;s first year as president and the terms of his divestment remain murky,&rdquo; according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/12\/01\/us-news\/joe-biden-to-pardon-son-hunter-in-shocking-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outlet<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The pictures obtained by AFL appear to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/America1stLegal\/status\/1871258051774407144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">show<\/a> Joe <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/America1stLegal\/status\/1871256903860228437\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">meeting<\/a> BHR Partners CEO Jonathan Li and Director and Managing Partner Ming Xue. The released records also show Hunter meeting Xi and then Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"BdsS\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\/1&#128680; BREAKING &#128680;<\/p>\n<p>AFL has obtained new photos of Joe Biden meeting with Hunter Biden&rsquo;s Chinese business associates and introducing Hunter to China&rsquo;s President Xi Jinping. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SB13yaXiXv\">pic.twitter.com\/SB13yaXiXv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; America First Legal (@America1stLegal) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/America1stLegal\/status\/1871255394171199828?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 23, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>As noted by AFL, the pictures seemingly corroborate <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/report\/report-of-the-impeachment-inquiry-of-joseph-r-biden-jr-president-of-the-united-states-of-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">findings<\/a> published by the House Oversight Committee in August showcasing the Bidens&rsquo; close connections with BHR officials. <\/p>\n<p>The committee discovered that &ldquo;Mr. Li sought &mdash; and received &mdash; access to Vice President Biden&rsquo;s political power, including, for example, preferential access to then-U.S. Ambassador to China Max Baucus.&rdquo; Prior testimony given by Hunter&rsquo;s former business partner Devon Archer and emails from Hunter&rsquo;s laptop also show that Joe penned letters of recommendation for Li&rsquo;s children, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-obtains-photos-of-joe-biden-meeting-with-hunter-bidens-chinese-business-associates-and-introducing-hunter-to-chinas-president-xi-jinping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AFL<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Hunter&rsquo;s congressional testimony indicates the Bidens financially benefited from his relationship with BHR. According to the First Son&rsquo;s testimony, Li <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GOPoversight\/status\/1763397553553285581\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wired<\/a> him $250,000 as a &ldquo;loan&rdquo; in 2019, which his financial backer <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/kevin-morris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kevin Morris<\/a> ultimately covered. <\/p>\n<p>The photographs seemingly contradict prior claims from Joe, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/03\/01\/us-news\/biden-insists-he-didnt-interact-with-hunter-james-biz-partners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">denied<\/a> meeting with Hunter and his brother James&rsquo; business associates. &ldquo;I did not interact with their partners,&rdquo; the president told reporters earlier this year. <\/p>\n<p>AFL&rsquo;s attempts to acquire the records did not come without difficulty, however. <\/p>\n<p>According to the legal group, NARA was <a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-obtains-photos-of-joe-biden-meeting-with-hunter-bidens-chinese-business-associates-and-introducing-hunter-to-chinas-president-xi-jinping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">originally<\/a> slated to &ldquo;release these photographs on October 23, 2024 &mdash; thirteen days before Election Day,&rdquo; but delayed publication until after the election when &ldquo;Biden and [Barack] Obama&rsquo;s lawyers and representatives invoked an extension of 30 working days.&rdquo; AFL further contended that the Biden administration is still prohibiting the &ldquo;release of 182 of the 313 photographs that NARA processed.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A Dec. 12, 2024, email sent to AFL by a NARA official <a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-obtains-photos-of-joe-biden-meeting-with-hunter-bidens-chinese-business-associates-and-introducing-hunter-to-chinas-president-xi-jinping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reads<\/a>, &ldquo;182 photographs and 3 email messages in whole and 6 email messages in part have been exempted from release in compliance with restrictions of the [Presidential Records Act] and applicable FOIA exemptions, which specify what material may be released to the public.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>AFL&rsquo;s publication of the records comes weeks after Joe issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/12\/01\/statement-from-president-joe-biden-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blanket pardon<\/a> for Hunter, which covered &ldquo;offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.&rdquo; As The Federalist&rsquo;s Elle Purnell <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/02\/after-hunters-pardon-its-time-to-prosecute-the-rest-of-the-biden-crime-family\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>, &ldquo;The pardon doesn&rsquo;t just apply to the (comparatively) minor crimes the Special Counsel David Weiss reluctantly prosecuted, but the host of potential crimes, from money laundering to bribery to FARA violations, for which Hunter&nbsp;<em>hasn&rsquo;t<\/em>&nbsp;been prosecuted.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
