He also says that the developers provided Lewis-Martin&rsquo;s son help with setting up a Chick-fil-A franchise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3224184\/harris-faces-political-wilderness-historic-loss-party-tatters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>HARRIS FACES POLITICAL WILDERNESS AFTER HISTORIC LOSS LEAVES HER PARTY &lsquo;IN TATTERS&rsquo;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bragg is charging Lewis-Martin, her son Glenn, and the two developers. All four pleaded not guilty Thursday. Lewis-Martin is being charged with bribery, money laundering and conspiracy.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We will continue to root out corruption; New Yorkers deserve no less,&rdquo; Bragg said.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis-Martin&rsquo;s attorney echoed some of Adams&rsquo;s past sentiments in saying he believed the case is politically motivated.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;re very confident that New Yorkers, using their common sense in this courthouse, will understand the ridiculousness of these charges,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis-Martin is the latest person in Adams&rsquo;s circle to face legal scrutiny for her actions.
