We gave Amazon a clear deadline to come to the table and do right by our members. They ignored it,&rdquo; said Teamsters General President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-suffers-humiliating-loss-union-rejects-decides-not-worthy-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sean M. O&rsquo;Brien<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;These greedy executives had every chance to show decency and respect for the people who make their obscene profits possible. Instead, they&rsquo;ve pushed workers to the limit and now they&rsquo;re paying the price. That figure included an average base salary of $22 per hour, plus the cost of health care and other benefits, the company said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/workplace\/amazon-wage-increase-new-benefits-for-hourly-us-employees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>O&rsquo;Brien told Cavuto, &ldquo;These people are not being paid a liveable wage, they&rsquo;re getting minimal benefits, if any, and it&rsquo;s a disgrace, and it shouldn&rsquo;t be allowed to happen.
