The people sworn to represent you and your interests, on the other hand, want to use the newly introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/punchbowl.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/CR-3.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">House omnibus bill<\/a> to define juveniles or adults charged, convicted, incarcerated, or even sentenced to ankle bracelet monitoring for crimes as a &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-gov-signs-bill-banning-gendered-language-in-professions\/\" title=\"NY Gov. Signs Bill Banning Gendered Language in Professions\">justice-involved individual<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The 1,547-page legislation representatives <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/18\/mike-johnsons-latest-spending-scheme-proves-hes-democrats-useful-idiot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">led by GOP Speaker Mike Johnson<\/a> hope to pass to fund the federal government through March 2025 is packed with oodles of <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1869311029131596262\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pork<\/a> that guarantees the survival of many of federal bureaucrats&rsquo; favorite pet projects. In addition to throwing taxpayer dollars at the state department program <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/18\/mike-johnsons-omnibus-resuscitates-state-department-group-that-censored-the-federalist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">known for demanding the censorship<\/a> of free speech champions like The Federalist, the lengthy legislation aims to revise widely accepted terms in favor of ones often championed by Democrat revisionists.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1509522496\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For years, federal laws have accurately branded people who break the law as &ldquo;criminal offenders.&rdquo; The passage of the newly introduced House omnibus would change that by marketing the outlaws &mdash; specifically those in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act &mdash; with vocabulary that seeks to not only downplay their criminal reputations, but words that could easily be mistaken as descriptors for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dc.com\/characters\/justice-league\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">superheroes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s only on page 1400 of the omnibus that the euphemistic term &ldquo;justice-involved individual&rdquo; is formally defined as someone &ldquo;who has been adjudicated delinquent or convicted of a crime and imprisoned under Federal or State law.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>The buck doesn&rsquo;t stop there. If the omnibus passes, &ldquo;out-of-school youth&rdquo; become &ldquo;opportunity youth,&rdquo; &ldquo;low-skilled adults&rdquo; become &ldquo;adults with foundational skill needs,&rdquo; &ldquo;homeless individuals&rdquo; and &ldquo;homeless children&rdquo; become &ldquo;individuals experiencing homelessness&rdquo; and &ldquo;youth experiencing homelessness,&rdquo; and &ldquo;welfare dependency&rdquo; turns into &ldquo;foster care status, school status, education level, highest grade level completed, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/asian-parents-file-lawsuit-claiming-ny-stem-program-discriminates-in-favor-of-black-hispanic-students\/\" title=\"Asian parents sue NY STEM program for alleged discrimination in favor of Black, Hispanic students\">low-income status<\/a>, and receipt of public assistance.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Repackaging language with negative connotations as ambiguous or even painting it in an optimistic light is a common tool used by Democrats to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/10\/25\/why-medias-precision-defense-on-the-beheaded-babies-story-is-bunk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disguise and advance their radical policy proposals<\/a>. When it comes to &ldquo;justice-involved individuals,&rdquo; leftists champion their soft-on-crime agenda, which aims to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">put violent criminals back<\/a> on the streets instead of punishing them.<\/p>\n<p>Changing &ldquo;offenders&rdquo; to &ldquo;justice-involved individuals&rdquo; may not seem like a big deal to the GOP legislators backing the omnibus but it should be.
