Schiff emphasized \u200dthat such pardons could set a troubling &#8220;precedent.&#8221; His remarks came after Biden issued a sweeping pardon to Hunter,along with commuting around 1,500 sentences,marking a critically important use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-says-no-consideration-of-hunter-biden-pardon\/\" title=\"White House denies Hunter Biden pardon consideration.\">presidential pardon power<\/a>. The senator was among the people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3199008\/trump-suggests-enemy-from-within-responsible-israel-leak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Trump deemed &ldquo;the enemy within&rdquo; before the election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The senator was also asked about President-elect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump&rsquo;s<\/a> nomination of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3248157\/things-kash-patel-said-wants-to-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Kash Patel for FBI director<\/a>, deeming him a &ldquo;conspiracy theorist&rdquo; who would do the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-cant-deny-responsibility-for-our-so-so-divided-nation\/\" title=\"Biden Can\u2019t Deny Responsibility For Our \u2018So, So Divided\u2019 Nation\">president-elect&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s &ldquo;dirty work.&rdquo;
