Of those tips, however, &ldquo;less than 100 leads have been generated and deemed worthy of further investigative activity.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3223892\/president-elect-donald-trump-cabinet-picks-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>TRUMP CABINET PICKS: WHO&rsquo;S BEEN TAPPED TO SERVE IN THE PRESIDENT-ELECT&rsquo;S ADMINISTRATION<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The official noted that sightings near the LaGuardia, JFK and Newark airports have matched the approach patterns for flights coming into those airports. &ldquo;This modeling is indicative of manned aviation being quite often mistaken for unmanned aviation or UAS,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, the official added, there has been &ldquo;without a doubt&rdquo; drone sightings in the state of New Jersey, which has been a focus of a majority of drone sightings in the Northeast. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s no doubt many of them are owned and operated here within the state.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A Department of Homeland Security official said &ldquo;no threat has been identified from the drone sightings.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>But the White House&rsquo;s investigation continues. However, a Joint Chiefs official confirmed there have been drone sightings near  military installations Naval Weapons Station Earle and Picatinny Arsenal.
