Additionally,about $169 \u200bmillion was directed towards\u200c mental health programs with a DEI focus. the report indicates that this funding trend reflects the Biden\u200d management&#8217;s inclination \u2063to promote progressive educational ideologies rather than\u2064 conventional teaching methods. Such practices have been the subject of Title VII civil rights complaints accusing school districts of racial discrimination by offering race-exclusionary opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>PDE recently filed two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/education\/3235308\/group-uses-title-vii-to-object-to-racial-discrimination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Title VII complaints<\/a>, first reported on by the <em>Washington Examiner, <\/em>alleging &ldquo;racial discrimination&rdquo; after white employees were reportedly excluded from an employment opportunity at Acalanes Union High School District in Oakland, California, and race-segregated employee affinity groups were created at Boston Public Schools.<\/p>\n<p>Several grants were issued for youth activism programming widely used in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/education\/3254113\/thinc-foundation-launched-end-marxist-takeover-ethnic-studies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">ethnic studies<\/a> courses, while others focused on &ldquo;anti-racism,&rdquo; &ldquo;equity-centered education,&rdquo; &ldquo;culturally responsive&rdquo; programs, and other initiatives relating to DEI and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">critical race theory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the grants highlighted by Parents Defending Education gave $3,973,175 to the School District of Philadelphia for a restorative justice program, whose program adviser is a far-left activist and former Communist Party USA member.<\/p>\n<p>Staley, who authored the report, said: &ldquo;The only people or groups to benefit from the enormous amount of grant funding are the universities, administrators, and DEI consultants, at the expense of children&rsquo;s education. This needs to change by placing children&rsquo;s learning at the forefront of education, instead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-school-system-is-plagued-by-violence-and-chaos-and-theyre-cooking-the-stats-to-keep-it-a-secret\/\" title=\"Violence and Chaos Concealed in School System Stats\">prioritizing race-based policies<\/a> and DEI.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The PDE report comes just over a month before President-elect Donald Trump&rsquo;s inauguration. He previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3055851\/trump-vows-historic-cut-education-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">vowed to cut<\/a> the Department of Education.<\/p>\n<p>Frederick M. Hess, a senior fellow and director of education policy studies for the American Enterprise Institute, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/education\/3232494\/trump-wants-to-abolish-the-department-of-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">told the<em> Washington Examiner <\/em><\/a>that under the Biden administration, the department became &ldquo;a political entity frequently engaged in promoting particular ideological nostrums&rdquo; that he called &ldquo;massively problematic.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hess said he thinks &ldquo;it&rsquo;d be fine&rdquo; if Trump kept his promise to cut the department because &ldquo;the Department of Education is extraordinarily bureaucratic.
